with all this going on will we not have a ground to play on looks like it to me.the arena was done for ccfc not for the council or for acl work with each other instead of fighting one another

if it was that easy do you think that we would have problems getting rid of gypo's , or squatters!

We had until Boxing Day to pay up or we'd apparently be homeless. It's now mid-February and we've yet to rearrange a home game.

got to hope that everyone stops posturing and does a deal that safeguards our club but also a key Coventry asset. It was always intended that the arena would be built with far more than just the football club in mind

Unlikely they will close the doors though ..................but it is an option

its not about a deal to keep us going for a lil while longer, we need a proper fix to the problem we are in

council do not give a fuck about ccfc, but sisu do care about making profit

we need to find a resolution or find a way to get one over the council

safeguards only keep us going for a few more months

question is if you are expected to take great potential financial risk but have no say in the control of that risk would you stay and remain a puppet ? I know I wouldnt ...... that in itself would make a statement about what was going on.

why is it stupid it's not like it hasn't been done before to other clubs

It is stupid because ACL cannot survive without the football club. They make money from matchday revenues - why would they deny themselves that by shutting the doors?

It's like you having a house that has only one viable tenant (just ONE, unless I've missed the other league club in Coventry), and that tenant is paying something (not as much as you'd like, but something) but in spite of that you evict him anyway, wave goodbye to the income you get and move nobody else in (because there isn't anyone). Why would anyone with half a brain do that?

ACLs position on this is LUDICROUS. It's a straight choice of either agreeing to a rent the club can afford, or having no football club in place at all (and how is that good for ACL?).

You wonder, if the club are evicted and went into liquidation as a result and reformed outside of the football league, what would ACL seek to charge that new club? It wouldn't be £400k a year that's for sure. Idiots running this city.

got to be honest I wasnt even thinking about short term....... although we have to get past short term problems. No deal is any good unless it is workable long term. need a workable long term plan ............... which has not been even outlined other than to say the rent is too much. Too much simple thought and believing things at face value going on if you ask me...... even if you didnt thats my opinion
