So now the acid test....

He says he wants to repay the fans...... If he does sign for Leicester then that's a huge custard pie for everyone of us. How much weight do your words carry Marlon??

Not sure I would Tankie. If I was financially secure and was happy in my environment, loved by the fans, wouldn't have to prove myself all over again, with a team who had taken a chance on me and given me a chance to rebuild and was still getting a kings ransom then I wouldn't be so quick to go. Of course this is speculation and the money does matter but with 40% loss of tax, then the gap between 15 and 20 isn't great however if the truth is nearer that we have ofefred 1 0and they are prepared to offer 25 then it becomes a different argument. Either way we shouldn't chastise him because he has given good service and he will do what is right for him and his family

Hull, Wigan, Forrest and Leeds he went to all of them and failed to deliver and was loathed by the fans.....so who knows if a little admiration doesn't play its part

I would certainly think less of him if he did (i think generally because it is Leicester!) but you couldnt blame him if he did given his age.

this forum is getting a little monotenus, all we ever seem to go on about is marlon signing, as previously mentioned about 100 times, what will be will be, trust in AT to do what is required as and when marlon has made his decision, its getting tedious now!!!! don't get me wrong guys, i want him to sign as much as any other cov fan, but to see it on this site every day bores me. (i await the abuse) only my opinion!!!!! Nick, please block any further posts about the Marlon situation until we have something substantial to talk about!!! :whistle::whistle:

Like sotv1987 said " what will be,will be" it will be a big loss if he decides to go especially to a championship club, but im sure AT will be able to find a someone to step up its not like were new to losing our best players

I agree that it's been done to death sotv but can understand people wanting to express their views on what's clearly an important topic for all of us.

I can understand your frustration when we have no new news and keep repeating the same guesses, but I don't think gagging their opinions is a way to help the site thrive through, particularly through the off-season.

Rob, i totally agree mate, the quip about Nick blocking the thread was a tongue in cheek remark, i would never want that. but i just seem to get a feeling of reading the same opinions over and over again mate and it does get slightly irritating, i love coming on this site as soon as i get into work in the mornings to see if there are any updates or ORIGINAL gossip, this is the best cov site around and your views are great, buti think the views maybe slightly exhausted on this topic, once again "what will be will be" trust in AT


edgy, marlon King maybe the main topic, i can't help but notice lately, but he certainly isn't the be all and end all of CCFC, deal with it!!!!

I'm sorry if you misunderstood my meaning, I'm certain that Marlon doesn't owe us a penny, he's been a great signing, whether he goes or stays, and I wish him well, whatever option he chooses.
as for the issue being old hat, and boring,like it or not, its the main topic of discussion right now, with speculation and rumour rife, about a decision that will have a major bearing on our fortunes for the coming season, I make no apologies for rating Marlon king so highly, we've all seen what a player he is,and I'm convinced that he will be the difference between success and failure in our promotion quest.
Let the opinions and conjecture flow, the close season can bring near meltdown to Forums like this one,with no football to comment on,if some posters are allergic to good humoured rumour and speculation, let them hybernate until August, while the rest of us try to conjure up some real Whoppers, just to keep the forum alive.

Frankly though Marlon is the main topic at present and any new evidence relating to that is a 'new topic' is it not?

Aidy did offer Westy a new contract but it was too late then with less than a year to go. The contract offer should have come at 18 months when Coleman was in charge and sold him on if he refused to sign.
