not sure I understand the actual question but Appleton has been far from an external party in this situation!

Bob Ainsworth said last week that Paul Appleton should prepare to stand aside to which he poo-pooed as you would expect. This week following Mondays CVA meeting an eleventh hour meeting has been arranged for Friday to discuss the current situation AND Appleton although administrator of ccfc ltd. a high court position has stood aside or told he will not be mediator, make of that what you will.

I do not think PA has broken any rules or laws. The whole process was structured in a particular way to achieve a particular outcome in my opinion. This has dictated the actions for him to take or not take.

I continue to be surprised that in a soap opera where there are many pantomime villains. time is wasted targeting a man who has no rational reason to do anything other than a professional, legal job.

He was not associated with the club before;

His business will hardly leave him short of work in the current climate;

There is no rational reason to take a job such as this on and do anything other than the professional, legal job.

So why target him and waste time looking for a scapegoat, where there are plenty of other choices?

didnt say i approved of it ........ but I suspect it is going to be very difficult to prove he has done anything wrong. I also think someone other than PA has planned the SISU road map in this process which dictates what happens as far as SISU and the administration is concerned. Got to keep in mind that this was no normal administration process

Approval or otherwise of any of us is pretty irrelevant though, if a bloke is doing his job, and doing it properly.

Whether the consequence of that job is what is desired or not doesn't affect the fact he's the wrong target.

Have to remember as well, even the most high profile losing bidder, who had most cause to complain if he had a reason to, made sure in his statement to reference Appleton's professionalism and the legality of the job he'd done.

Remember Paul Appleton is JOINT administrator I think the other is David Rubens, what influence does he have on proceedings ? Does he have history re. sisu and if Appleton did move aside would that mean Rubens steps in and we would have the other cheek of the same backside.

5000 plus on the streets of Cov say otherwise....

PA terms of reference for this project were most unlikely to satisfy fan's agenda/objectives. He has done (or is doing) a good job by the creditors of CCFC Ltd. whilst that his not his sole objective, it his top priority & therefore comes first for him.
I don't like the way it has gone either...but can't say he's done a bad job - merely unpalatable outcomes from my perspective.

the administrator is doing a wonderful job for the club. a lot of city fans have been utterly blinkered by the council.

remember: the council started administration

the club owners took control of that administration by placing the club (part of) into administration

since then the club went up for sale: and who was the highest bidder? - otium/sisu

the club was let down by the big noise of haskell, joe and the un - named arabs/chinese/japanese and who ever else. they should have offered the highest bid or come back later which they didnt.

the time has come for the blinkered to understand and realise exactly what the city council are prepared to do to the club. acl must sell the share and do so before the season starts if they really want us to be playing in coventry.

25000 staying at home says otherwise

Behave yourself. Not everyone could make it - doesn't mean they don't care. People protest about issues all the time, but nobody suggests that it is only the people who take to the streets that care about those particular issues. Some people were working, some on holiday, some exiled, others otherwise engaged - it matters little. What was notable on the march on Saturday was how just about every car that drove past beeped their horn in support. Please don't take the non-attendance of some as evidence that they don't care, that's just silly.

You for real??

25,000 staying at home does not mean they don't support the people who marched because they weren't there. :facepalm:

I for one and many others I know were not there BUT we all support and praise all of them for coming out to the protest march.

Yes thinkign about this PA has acted legally in his role and acted onbehalf of the company which has yielded the right result for them. Sadly this was the most ethical way in the eyes of the fans but all above board. You have to admire SISU in the way they have played all of this, like it or not they have played a blinder to get what they want. I wish we knew what they really want out of this process and whether they want to move the club out of the city for good or not? I think if we knew this, people can make choices to follow or not, its the not knowing which is frustrating.

I think Appleton will slip quietly out of site.

My view is that Fisher will be leaving soon, no reasons or rumours but how can he continue in that roll, Waggot will takeover.
