Would definitely take this if we can afford him. Could see a Bony-Godden partnership getting a fair few goals with the right supply

Has a poor reputation as a professional .....

Appears to have enjoyed the money more than the game.

Bony's last contract was more than our entire squad combined. Even if he can barely run, somewhere in China/Qatar/UAE will offer him 10 fold of what we possibly could. Let's tempt Sturridge back to his first club while we're at it...

Well let's be honest, you wouldn't mind a front 2 of matty godden and wilfried bony would you

However, very unrealistic

I'd just be happy with a front 2 in some games.

I'm of the opinion that if we actually play 433 correctly with allen back in the middle we would do very well.

Problem at the moment is in attack the 2 wide men of the 3 are acting like out and out wingers when reality is they all need to be closing in on the box together in the final third with our full backs adopting the wide positions

I often wonder what some posters are on. We have no chance whatsoever of singing him.

I did make it clear in my opening post, that that chances of signing him were highly unlikely, hence the comment Improbable transfer.
I was just noting that he was still a free agent, and wouldn't it be great if we could attract a player of such quality.

Strange that he hasn't gone to China or wherever, isn't that what all slightly washed up but yet to retire footballers do now? Surely he'd get a contract in one of those leagues just by virtue of having once played for Man City....

Madness, has he been injured?
He might just be training with them while he's looking for another club
Andy Carroll was released by West Ham at the end of last season but they allowed him to carry on training with them until he got sorted with NUFC on deadline day

Hahaha for fuck sake! Can we please have some sort of marker against anyone thats commented as if it’s possible so we never have to bother reading the shite they come out with ever again

Most likely he’s training at Newport as it’s fairly local to him and he needs to stay fit. How does that equate to a 28 mill striker signing for us come on fellas

There was one put in place when the Joe Cole rumours started but it had to be removed!

I did mention in my opening post, that he was just training with Newport, probably to keep fit, and was an unlikely signing.
