Why the fuck were Hoffman and Storey there? (1 Viewer)

IIRC Hoffman was involved in the secret consortium that involved Council and funding from Wasps owner to try to take over CCFC, that Richard Overson pulled out of and exposed. That was incredibly destabilising and underhand imo, guess he's a makeweight in this somehow.

Sunderland fans broke the story that Storey was interested about 6 weeks ago. One of their fans became good mates with him when he was looking into Sunderland.

Storey was probably just one of the loons who submitted a shit bid for the Arena and turned up hoping for admin.

Hoffman is a king grifter, of course he was there.
I’ll bet he is the broker of the deal between SISU and Ashley. That way what we were told about no contact between Joy and Mike is true if it’s all being done through him.

What deal between Sisu and Ashley, there wasn't one
Badly worded. My guess is that Ashley has already made enquiries through Hoffman, that SISU found derisory. He won’t have offered much for a club with as much debt as we have, even if it’s paper debt.

SISU have conveniently cleared that through the King ‘takeover’, adding significant value to the club while retaining enough of a stake to get a decent pay off if Ashley stumps up the cash for the 85% and gets us to the Premier League.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the timing of it all and a random (very unlikely to be successful) stadium bid for much more than Ashley offered, was just a display of peacock feathers to send the message that the club isn’t on its arse financially after all and he’s going to have pay much more than whatever was originally proposed through Hoffman.
