It seems to me that many CCFC fans seem to be 'floating voters' so to speak. Now the takeover bid has been withdrawn, many seem to think sisu are now a credible and decent owner of our club and Hoffman a time waster.

What puzzles me is that why would Hoffman go public with the bid etc if as many are now saying, he is full of s**t and worse. Was it he wanted to be ridiculed and tarnish his previous successful professional image? Was it because his backers didn't have the money and so he and they are liars?

Please enlighten me as to why Hoffman made a bid and how has he benefited from all this if all the Hoffman haters are correct about him?

Totally. Hoffman would have been an ideal man to have involved in the club, as he proved whilst he was on the board (eg securing City Link as shirt sponser)

I am absolutely gutted that his backers have pulled out.

SISU have absolutely no interest in taking the club forward in regards to achievement. Once the books are balanced, they'll be happy!!

Also some reputable business people do not like dealing with those who have no integrity. The only people to see the offer letter and the withdrawn offer letter were KD and the board so it would seem obvious who leaked it and why K Bruce was contacted by the press stating they (the press) had a copy, within hours of the letter being withdrawn. Why is it some people choose to ignore these facts?

SISU are decent owners if we're talking about simply paying the bills. Hoffman...at this point all we know is that he served on the board, and made a failed bid to buy the club. There's no good reason to lionise him or to put him in the Dhinsa category either.

Agree totally with previous messages, I just wonder whether or why SISU are considered a legally credible outfit with regard to their handling of this whole scenario.

If I owned a company and it was being run by these clowns/buffoons, I think I'd have pulled the plug on them well before now.

Maybe the word hating is not perfect but it was used to describe those who now want to slag him off.
Mixing up facts etc, who else would have received the letters and Hoffman spoke about the press contacting Bruce. The only speculation is that it is obvious who would have leaked them, ..those who received them?

I believe Hoffman 100% had the right intentions, but that's not always enough. I don't really buy the idea that seasoned entrepreneurs could be put off a serious investment so easily though.

Some people are happy to believe KD even though he has no loyalty or love of our club, hoff no matter of personal opinion is a cov fan and is just in a position to help....Im sure if anyone, even those who are slaggin him off was in his position to help the club they love would do the same( i would )..... I agree with you, it does seem so blatantly obvious that KD has sabotaged Hoff's bid - putting the Big Sam issue to one side the tanned one had no need to declare the identity of the backers before the deal was finalised - it was just obviously not on and totally unnecessary..

Reading the after comments of all parties it looks like there will be no immediate re-bid (if thats the word) from GH thus propelling this club to a potential fire sale of our more marketable players with no suitable replacements to follow.

Did Apple go "well we won't release it now if people know about it"? No, because they are serious business people and they follow through with their plan. Confidentiality would be nice, but it's never assumed as vital.

If this lot were at all serious about buying the club they'd still be in the process. People do business with aresholes all the time because essentially they want what the arseholes have got. It was an opportune moment to pull out after the bullshit of supposedly talking to the council when the council say they haven't (yes, both Hoffman and SISU are guilty of this) or not putting a proper bid in before going to the press, or the rest of the publicity seeking stunts Hoffman pulled instead of approaching this in a sensible, professional fashion.

If I want to buy your house I make an offer, I don't get my mates in the press to write about how you refuse to fix the roof and I'd be a much better owner.

Hoffman is a joker and a time waster, so deserves to be put in the same bracket as Dhinsa. Say what you like about SISU but they actually bought the club, which is more than anyone else can say.

One other point to think on: breaking an NDA (non-disclosure agreement or confidentiality clause) is against the law. If as is repeatedly claimed one was in place with SISU Hoffman's group have every right to sue SISU. I don't see that happening do you?

No It won't happen because there wasn't NDA in place and that was what Hoff asked for before proceeding further. He asked for a confidentiality clause and look what he got, the absolute opposite. How do you do business with people who behave like?

Smmeee, you give a very rational argument for backing Sisu and that is fair enough, but then why do you have to go completely the other way with Hoffman and start saying he is a joker and a time waster? There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that he doesn't have the best interests of Coventry City FC at heart. He may not of course, anything is possible, but there is absolutely no evidence of this at all!

Sorry, but just slating Hoffman and slinging mud at him without any real substance is just as bad as those doing so against Sisu without detailing their supposed misgivings too!!

Sorry, but I think it stacks up perfectly.

1. He has categorically stated that the Allardyce thing is not an issue. Allardyce would simply resign his position on the board with this company. When the deal was put together some months ago Allardyce was not in a job as a football manager and Hoffman has said he was perfectly aware of all this and that Allardyce would simply have stepped down..

2. So, so many faces owners behind football clubs. Even channel 4 couldn't pinpoint who was who involved with which clubs in English football. Why then wouldn't these backers with the City deal wish to remain faceless too? Not saying it is right to do so but that is the way it is in football today and understandable (though the reasons may well be dodgy) .

All stacks up perfectly for me.
