Never mmade it at wolves and has'nt here for whatever reason managers have not persisted with him,he has a couple of decent games bags a couple of goals and then he's out again

Has the talent but hes just so lazy! Always seems to have a couple of good games a season were he will get 2-3 a game then a couple of weeks later he wont make the starting 11 due to a woeful performance the week after, would love him to come back from his 'fitness break' and get 15 goals this season.

One might argue that he has never been given the chance to impress over a sustained period of time.

Nevertheless, when he isn't injured and when he is given a chance, he doesn't look interested.

Which, of course, is a kick in the teeth for those Cov fans who heralded his arrival as the arrival of a 20-goal-a-season striker

Freddie is the guy with so much natural talent but limited application. Like the curate's egg "good in parts" he just cannot seem to perform consistantly enough to warrant a permanent regular start - wishknew why, what a waste.

Talented player but has no heart for the game, this is what makes him a very frustrating player to watch..... Shame but has never Reached his potential and dont think he ever will..

Since leaving Southend Eastwood has scored 20 goals in 139 games for Wolves and Coventry. So he is not hugely talented but a waste of space.

A goals record tells you nothing about a player's natural talent.

When Eastwood is playing well, football looks too easy. However, his lack of application has led to the lack of effectiveness that you highlight.

I have always liked Freddy as a player but the rest are right, he has just never cut it. Having said there city fans have protected him for SOOOO many seasons when he has not been performing so i dont think there is contempt there either. If he left i thinkeveryone would wish him well, which i think is the best move for all although i would love to see a fully fit freddy is Thorn's style of play.

As an outsider who frequents these parts regularly, I was just curious about the anger and contempt vented towards one Freddy Eastwood?

Is he a disappointingly underwhelming striker? Did anything happen OFF the field? Does he show a lack of commitment or a regard towards the fans?

Last time I saw him, he was scoring for fun at Southend and interesting the likes of Wolves and Norwich. Please fill me in!

But isn't that a bit like saying Hitler was a well behaved child at school?

He's not been the same since being done for flytipping!!

With Freddy, you just get a player who has a bag full of talent but rarely shows it! His technique and ball control at times are brilliant, but as soon as he has to move, he becomes a different player; one who doesnt want to be on the pitch. So frustrating that he has the talent, but the wrong attitude to go with it imo!

He is Tecnically one of our best players, we as fans know there is a decent player there but 4/5 managers cant coax him out.
Time to go

I think its time for Freddy to find a new club for a fresh challenge. I dont think its working for him at CCFC.

Too many false starts and not enough goals, £1 Million not well spent.

Okay. Bad example.

It was like saying Katie Price was once a virgin then.

I refuse to believe that. I reckon she came into the world with tatoos, a book deal and smoking a fag.

I still reckon he's good enough, he's got to be the best finisher at the club just needs to sort himself out. Get back from fat camp an prove yourself Freddy last chance now

But does a player with a great finish need to move alot? I'm thinking Kevin Phillips. He never covers more than 10 yards at a time, but has the foresight to get into great positions and turn the last man. Steady Freddie doesn't seem to have this. If he did he could be as fat as he likes.

had plenty of talent, but has poor attitude and currently sent off the Lilleshall to get fit! which kind of says it all Cant keep living on his days at Southend. Its 5 years ago and at least 5 league managers and a couple of international managers have decided he doesnt offer enough consistently to make the difference.

Well past time for him to move on

He has no heart for the game. Injured and just wants to be on the lash instead of working back to fitness. Says it all really.
