The Castle is an away fans pub, also the Gallant Pioneer for anyone who is a Ranger's fan, 12.30 kick off, then up to Bloomfield Road.

So run down but so good at the same time.

Same with a lads holiday as a youngun, you wouldn't enjoy it if it was nice.

What a fucking trip! On it from 11am until 5am celebrating the 3 points.

Blackpool is down to earth but has everything you want for a football trip; beer, fry ups, fish and chips, beach and hen dos.

Some of the snobby comments from some on here and Twitter crack me up…like they are frequent visitors to Venice and Nepal for culture… you just know they’re package holiday bandits who are used to being escorted around by a student with a Jet 2 polo and clipboard for 7 days!

To be fair it is out of season and every seaside resort is shit until the sun's shinning.

With a comment like this, you’re not really from Earlsdon, are you? Spon End or Chapelfields at a push.

I've just driven through Wood End and considering its one of Covs biggest shitholes, it's like being on the streets of Kensington compared to Blackpool

If you cant see its an utter cesspit i dont know what to say. You can actually smell the poverty.

And its not snobby at all to say it, i grew up just off Ball Hill an area well known as a dive, and even round there looks like Mayfair compared to anything off the front at Blackpool

Have to agree with Saddlebrains. Those back streets were not nice to see at all.

It's pretty sad to be honest and a real shame.
I had a great weekend but I'd never dream of going near the place if it wasn't for football.

The Sun was shining, and I had a brilliant weekend, Blackpool is what it is, and let's not pretend it's anything else.
It cater's for a certain market and does it well.
fuck the haters.

Granted, it is one of the poorer areas but literally every city and town in he country has its areas.

A lot of people slag the country off for being a 'shit hole' but if you visit a resort in Greece or Spain off season, it's worse than most places here.

I went to mainland Greece in November a few years back. Grey skies, deserted, abandoned buildings everywhere. Roads were a mess, litter etc.
