Have family that have supported them since they had owners who made sisu look like Jack Walker so no issue with Wrexham going up even though I don't like the media wankathon over the two actors.

There are still just enough games left for Soton or Derby to make a late run into the top 6.
Bloody well hope it's not against us, we play both soon, we'll have to be on form against them.

There are no easy matches left until the fat lady has sung.

I am gonna go against the grain with Wrexham a bit here, as much as I want to dislike Rob and Ryan I really can't bring myself to do it - Yes the media circus is cringeworthy but that is Sky's issue - when you listen to the pair of them talk, they are not the cringe Americans I expected them to be, they are clued up and I take my hat off to them for buying a club that was on it's arse in Non-League and getting them up the ladder organically

They are much more bearable than that circus down the A45 and that is the greatest compliment I can pay them

The reason I do not want them up with us though is if they did get to the Prem it would go to a completely new level and their spending power would trump ours by a long way

I do do agree with this. I don't dislike them as people.

In pure sporting terms, though, both they and Birmingham are the same degree of problematic.

I actually think the fawning media circus makes them more unbearable even than Birmingham, though. Although Birmingham clearly not really knowing what they're doing also helps there.

If Wrexham went up, you get the impression it'd be because they'd exploited their wealth with a degree of competency. If Birmingham did, it would be because they happened to blunder into the right room by pure accident.

Any two of Middlesbrough , Millwall and Hull for me.

Boro - Seem a well run club with decent fans. Guaranteed 6 points.

Millwall - The PL could do with a shot of Millwall.

Hull - Purely for selfish, geographical reasons.

Have a feeling if us and any of the above go up, the Championship is going to be rock hard to get out of next season!

Remember - Man City will be starting the season with -86 points after they've addressed all of their charges, so there will only be 2 other relegated places to compete for. Let's hope they dock a few other teams for next season, too!

Can you imagine trying to scrap with Ipswich and Boro again plus Southampton, Sheff U, Norwich, Birmingham, Wrexham, all stronger plus Wolves, Forest and Tottenham. That’s a bloodbath. Managerial sackings galore.

Forgot Burnley instead of Spurs / Forest

Would prefer Boro to go up I guess as they’re a decent outfit and well supported for a relatively poor City miles away from most places.
Would now increasingly be delighted if the entitled Leicester fecks got another taste of League 1. The bitterness amongst the ones I know has increased in line with each one of our last 6 consecutive victories. They’ve gone up a notch with the realisation that we might actually hold on and succeed.

In all honestly we say the same every season. Before this one we were saying it's a harder ask for top 6 with Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich, Birmingham, Wrexham, Norwich, Sheff Utd West Brom, Middlesbrough etc and look where we are

I imagine @Leicesterfox is particularly salty at the moment.

Maybe but I don’t remember a group like that. Of course some will tank.

I’d love a pint with Bob Mortimer
I've actually done this, though appreciate I've had a geographical advantage?

His Mam's house that he grew up in was round the corner from my own parents' that they moved into in the late 90s so when my Dad was still alive and I'd popped back to see them some years ago, I took him for a pint in the local and found His Royal Bobness sat at a table completely unbothered as he was just another local lad.

Had a lovely short chat with him, turned out he was back visiting his Mam too.
