So the comparable of the other clubs lower losses mean nothing?

Of course Everton were going to lose 4 times as much revenue as the better supported Newcastle..its obvious...well its obvious if you want to fiddle your way into meeting FFP rules.

Comparing it to other clubs is meaningless in some respects, as it's about what Everton can prove if an independent commission is appointed - which I doubt they will be. The fact they've apparently already got the green light from an 'external auditor' suggests it's a lost cause by Leeds and Burnley.

They've clearly found a loophole and exploited it to the hilt - supported by the fact that they claim their losses are far above clubs such as Villa.

You could be right, but reports are the losses have caused considerable surprise amongst other Premier League Clubs, and the BBC reports have raised the point of the comparables, and this is something other Premier League Clubs will look it.

They may get away with it, just like Derby and other clubs in the past, but its only because the Premier league and so forth are so inept at dealing with this financial corruption.

Well it is a bit ridiculous. I mean they claim they've lost 3x more than Villa have in that same period. Their CEO has also claimed because the transfer market contracted significantly, they were unable to generate significant transfer fees which is completely intangible.

Yes, it's a last gasp attempt.

It appears that they were certainly very close to breaking the regulations but they technically haven't.
Don't forget a significant amount of their losses can be offset if they can prove they're Covid induced and stadium/academy/training ground investment is exempt from the regulations as well.

It's also not in the PL's interest to see clubs sanctioned. That fact they're co-operating with the PL and have also undergone a massive cost-cutting exercise over the past year which will play in their favour.

The Stadium/Academy/Training Ground etc. is on top of the £170m they claim was lost to Covid.

Yes I understand that, I probably wasn't all that clear in this post.
