It’s funny as I was talking to someone yesterday about when we were selling shirts out of a travel shack at sixfields only 11-12 years ago. And people moaning now that the graphic design on the socials updates is crap.

as for Saturday it’s one game . No more no less. We all want to win and ought to Saturday but football doesn’t work like that. Who remembers Stoke away first game last season.

Not nervous at all. As we all know, we can completely make a mess of the first half of the season and still do okay anyway.
Yeah, but I want to see something completely different from us this year

Time for change!!

Let's fly out of the blocks and be 15 points clear of 7th place and then just fall apart and unravel at the end of the season, rather than the start. 👍🏻

Will be unless we sign players, squad is not very deep.

Adding MVE and Rudoni to the not being here list by Sept 1st i think we need 6 players

If we sell MVE and Rudoni we would receive about the same money we did for Gyokeres and Hamer. Look what we have built with that. We already have a replacement for MVE. If MVE leaves it will be with thanks for his efforts and memories and also best wishes for the future. It would also give us the funds to make us a stronger squad.

Would love to keep Rudoni. He was an absolute beast in the last 12 games but everyone has their price. I would guess we have him for another season unless we get promoted this season.

Challange on Rudoni being a beast last 12 games - I’d question his impact in all the away games we played, not his fault entirely, but that’s where you want the big players impacting.

he’s got room to grow still, which is why he will still be here this season, add that further consistency and he’s a PL player and also bags us a shit load of cash.

I have my usual Cov low expectations. The main positive so far is having a decent keeper (hopefully!) that's got to help a lot.
If we could bring in a strong, aggressive proper striker I'd be much more positive. For now play BTA and at least get some mobility up front.

I'd agree with your challenge on the last 12 games, Rudoni is brilliant but he went missing in the play offs, and like you say we rarely saw the best of him away from home.

He will play in PL at some point.

1 player doesn't make a team. If someone doesn't get the opportunities it's more difficult.

But 7 goals plus assists in them 12 games isn't good enough? That's very good numbers for a striker let alone a midfielder. No player will be MOTM every game.

The elephant in the room is the goalkeeper. On Saturday he was as bad as Collins ever was in the first half and hopefully he has got that out of system but I worry that he has not inspired confidence in the defenders.
Eric McManus vibes for the older brethren.

Of course, did reference not entirely down to him. But of those goals and assists, how many came away?

he was outstanding at home, but not so away, however, that also is a fault of the team.

he’s got room to grow still.

He made one error. Apart from that he has been excellent
He made 3-4 errors in the first half. Early in the half he gave the ball away and the St Pauli player luckily shot wide, and then he gave the ball away another 2-3 times. He's almost over confidence with his feet.

He was much better second half.

Did you ever watch Collins play? 😂

His touch was a bit heavy. The striker was on it immediately. It cost us a goal. I can handle that. He is still learning the game. But he has already made some very good saves. Vocal in the area, always ready to run out, handling looks good and always alert to players running forward and capable of getting the ball to them.

All players make mistakes. He will make a few during the season. The important bit is how a player responds to a mistake especially that costs a goal. He was still full of confidence. Collins would go to bits. I'll never forget Collins smiling when taking the ball out of the net for about the 4th time in a game.

Optimistic - it’s a squad that knows one another and what it takes to get into the top 6.

Add one or two quality additions to the mix and who knows what will happen? Can’t wait to kick off

The time to make errors is in pre season as long as you learn from them.

Can see Hull being a banana skin, although on paper should be a win.. We have 70% possession but don’t create much against a low block, they get 1-2 shots on target from mistakes and score them.

MVE gets sold Friday, forum wide meltdown.
