This team also built that lead. Moronic comment in the extreme
It was a very big set of freak circumstances that built that lead! We also can't dine out on "the team that built that lead" next season when we're still in the championship having bottled it completely. Open your fucking eyes and get with the programme.

It’s looking extremely up in the air but if we did manage to beat boro game after next that could be a springboard to go on a run.

we just need to beat Oxford next week and then build into a performance against boro

If the players aren’t up for that well I have no words
On the face of it, we've been superb at home. So it should be fine. However. The major concern isn't today in isolation

Its inevitability that the poor away form will infect the home form

If it was just freak circumstance then why is anyone bothered or surprised we have lost the points lead????

Anyone who thought we’d walk the league was deluded. Tough league and we’re going through a bad patch with players looking like they’re lacking in confidence. If we were Ipswich or a Sheff Utd with their wage bills fair enough, I’d be fuming, but we’re currently a top six squad that’s overachieved. Feels horrible at the moment as expectations were raised but is what it is, thats football.

Still think we’ve got another decent run in us but got to fight through this shit patch. Hoping the fans can help lift us over next couple of games which are massive. Still see a lot of our fanbase is bottling it as much/more so that the players

The 'Invincibles' thread looks even more ridiculous now!

It’s a race from here now, the lead has gone, as lampard says.

King needs to ask himself if lampard is the best option to win that race, or if there is another horse to back.

Previous form and the lead we built should figure in that calculation, but they do not mean that by default he should get the chance.

Based on form since November, I personally can’t see Lampard getting it over the line, however without knowing all options I can’t think of an alternative right now.

I don’t think this is hysteria, or being ridiculous, it’s about getting it over the line for this club and taking the opportunity we have in front of us.

But noone should be surprised if it was just freak circumstance. In fact that points to a collapse at some point being logical
No, because take away the freak run to start the season, we're still comfortably a top-6 team. The form atm isnt even top-half.

Right now being the key words.

It's a top 6 deck and extremely likely to make top 6

Lampard has over achieved and now people are angry at him for it

I ain't got much else to say on it. I'll wait till next week and hopefully this time next week we are 3 clear.

King isn’t going to sack him and back another manager right now.

Ah yes. We were just lucky to build the lead. Lots and lots and lots of lucky goals scored during freak circumstances. Rank muppetry.

Well that's it, Steve. I don't think many now believe we have another decent run in us

I think a signing on Monday could change that, but if we do stick with what we've got, I just don't think we are going to do it, unfortunately and so many now feel the same. .

It's the same things week in week out, away from home. We look so vulnerable and then a bit powderpuff up front.

Earlier in the campaign we were scoring 3 plus goals regularly. 3, 4, 5 ....

I know that's not sustainable, but the last time we scored more than 2 goals was the 29th Nov. That's a worry. We are now not putting teams away when we are on top in games

So it's a mix of not scoring as freely as we were and then also, lots of mistakes at the back.

Hard to believe we ARE going to have another decent run .

Why, in almost every reply to me today have you used personal insults? It just makes you look stupid and makes you look like youre losing the argument. There really is no need for it because I can guarantee if we were sat opposite each other in a pub you wouldnt be using the same insults. So why do it behind the safety of your keyboard?

You’ve just mentioned king questioning whether Lampard is the right man. The same manager that unexpectedly got us to the top of the league and we’re still there in Feb

Not hysteria though ?! 😂

The problem isn't just that we've blown the lead, it's the manner in which it's happened.
There have been so many similarities in the games we've dropped points from winning positions it's untrue yet we keep doing the same things over and over again.
