Too much negativity on all social media. The stuff being churned out on a certain YouTube channel is a prime example of how fickle fans are. A few weeks ago they were spouting about how we were going to walk the league, then more recently that certain players should never put the shirt on again.

I’m not exactly doing cartwheels, but surely the only way we are likely to go up is to back the team. At the end of the day all of the negativity is hot air. The only way to show our support is to show up as partisan fans.

Whether we back the team or not has little difference.

Not moronic but you make a very good point. And without key players due to injury, those players did a great job.

Ain’t life great? We all know that, except it makes for a slightly better experience if people turn up and support the City. If not, why bother? A season over 46 games shows just what kind of a team we are anyway.

It feels like less people support their team now and instead feel like entitled customers?

Don't get me wrong its ok to be worried etc but some come across like they are owed promotion as a paying consumer rather than being down about missing out on experience of their club in prem

Look I want to be positive and I was when this shit started.

But Lampard said it’s his job to come up with solutions. So fair he’s just repeating the same mistakes. I think we can call them on it. High standards need high expectations.
Why are they Lampard’s mistakes? Kitching got caught massively out of position for the first goal, deciding to close down their CM when out LB had already pushed on. For the second Saka failed to protect the ball.

We have a group of players who are just about good enough to compete for automatic play offs. The fact they had a really good run and now a really bad run is well within expectations

What do you mean back the team?
At the game certainly, but anyone doing one of these fan channels or podcasts who tries to make out that what's gone on is anything but a calamity would look pretty stupid

It's my post specifically. Happy to either buy everyone a pint at the pub or a home game.

Sorry Pete, but I disagree with you here.

The fans can see what is happening and they’re entitled to voice their views.

For what it’s worth Frank, Doug and the players have got a lot of things right up until a point, but this is a marathon and not a sprint and we seem to have burnt out before the final leg and the fans don’t see a way this changes, it’s alarming how badly we’ve dropped off, and you can excuse that in as many ways as you like, but we’ve lost so many games and dropped off horribly

I would add if this was any other scenario then a shot at getting back to the Premier League maybe the frustration wouldn’t so volatile, but people can see this is as good a chance we are going to get.

Add to it all, that this bottle job from where we were would be recognised as one of the worst this league has ever seen.

Now on goal difference. On the 16th we'll get spanked by Boro and will fall out of the autos shortly after to then scrap for a playoff spot.

We have no been very good since November. Unfortunately the same players keep getting picked. The same formation, especially away from home, when it is clearly not working.

Form is just a misinterpretation of luck and sequencing risk. In the same way our good ‘form’ changed, so will our bad ‘form’

Do they deliberately go out to lose-no.

But the amount of unbalanced negative vitriol-led by the usual suspects-who never have anything positive to say, is frankly staggering.

But Frank has definitely got to think this through-namely an away tactic because yet again we get overrun in midfield.

When 1-0 up why didn’t he bring in two extra defenders and shut the fucking shop down.

No doubt we’ll win next week but Frank (and his coaching staff) needs to take the heat off these players and start proofing how good a tactician he is.

I'm not even reading it.
Our form is nothing to do with 'misinterpretation of luck and sequencing' it's to do with poor tactics away from home aided and abetted by horrendous individual errors.

Today was the worst we have been for a while as we created very little against a badly injury hit QPR team with 1 win in 7.
Against Norwich, whilst we were not good and lost control of the game for large parts, we did create enough to get something out of it. Can't say the same of today. Just the Rudoni header in the first min and the Eccles goal. That was it against a one win in 7 injury hit QPR team.

Also frustrating was the manner of the equaliser. Why were two of our defenders trying to play intricate triangles on a pudding of a pitch in their half one nil up away from home? We lost the ball and got immediately countered. We shouldn't be in that position unless we are chasing the game deep into the 2nd half. To try it whilst winning was baffling.

Even at 2-1 down there was time to gain momentum and put in a decent finish. Stupid fouls and free kicks given away cost us about 10 minutes. What little we did create we wasted. Grimes's corner near the end was horrific. This was the same against Norwich. Didn't look like we has the big finish in us.

Having said that I hope this was the worst this season. We can and will play better and there is still time to get it going again and other teams to stumble. Oxford home is a great chance to not just get a win but also to put in a decent performance. They will have had a tough away match against Sheff Utd midweek too so could really out do them for energy as well as control.
