Who do we think we are? (3 Viewers)

Yep I need a break from here. We were shit, it's like all the confidence and energy has been sucked out of the team. Throwing them under the bus won't help though. it's clear we need some signings to help them out. Massively worried we'll screw this up but I really can't stomach the hate coming from some of our fans.

Look I want to be positive and I was when this shit started.

But Lampard said it’s his job to come up with solutions. So fair he’s just repeating the same mistakes. I think we can call them on it. High standards need high expectations.

Do they deliberately go out to lose-no.

But the amount of unbalanced negative vitriol-led by the usual suspects-who never have anything positive to say, is frankly staggering.

But Frank has definitely got to think this through-namely an away tactic because yet again we get overrun in midfield.

When 1-0 up why didn’t he bring in two extra defenders and shut the fucking shop down.

No doubt we’ll win next week but Frank (and his coaching staff) needs to take the heat off these players and start proofing how good a tactician he is.

After taking the lead vs Norwich and QPR, we should have had 11 men behind the ball and defended for our lives to see out wins. Just do something (anything) different to get a win. But Frank and the players don’t have a plan B.

The constant hammering of our players manager and owner is embarrassing

See you all Saturday

Nb we’re still top and have everything to play for

I’ve been one of the deniers regarding the accusations of us bottling it.

That position has become untenable because it’s undeniable that we’re a shadow of the team we saw at the beginning of the season. We’ve literally fallen off a cliff and can’t seem to turn things back around.

We are too predictable tactically and woefully weak mentally. Frank needs to make major changes, or we will get swallowed up and back in the playoff picture.

I agree for the most part, Pete. I myself have not got on the players' backs

Something just isn't right at the moment though. It seriously needs addressing, so I can see where all the anger and frustration has come from

First time today that I am feeling we might just blow this and that would have been absolutely unthinkable a few weeks back.

I don't think constantly hammering anyone helps, mind.

I just get the frustration.

For me, I have gone the other way. The defeats just leave me sad and almost speechless.

Just keeps happening.

Should have got something at Birmingham, should have got something at Norwich and should have got something today.

Well said. Clueless and hysterical ranting on here. Absolutely moronic as much as it is misinformed. If we were going out of the league structure I’d get it. We’re top of the championship ffs.

For me, as others have said, losing games will happen, but what is not acceptable is the level of performance we are currently putting in. Even Leicester and Millwall, if I'm being kind, we were only good for a half (if I'm being kind as it's more like 20 minutes). You cannot just turn up and expect to win.

We have thrown away leads in the last two games and after doing so not looked remotely likely to score. This is very worrying.

Biggest thing for me

Sure, you can go 2-1 down. These things happen. But you need to come back at them with something and show more backbone. More fight. Our confidence away from home seems a little shot. As soon as the opposition score, we struggle.

I dare say that if we were 2 goals up he may decide to shut up shop, its not as though we haven't got enough defenders but as it goes with our awful defending with a 1 goal lead we are susceptible....over to you Frank it needs sorting now pronto plus

I honestly think some of you lot have forgotten what club we support.. no one in their wildest dreams would have called where we are now at this point last year.
We don't have a squad that should be top of the league quality wise. We don't have a budget that would have us top of the league.

Am I annoyed at our recent form? Of course, we've been dog shit. However, when we were clear Ipswich were struggling, Boro were about at pace with us until the little dip they had, and the likes of Milwall and Hull weren't in the picture... we had no one to compete with us.
I said it when we were 10 points clear and I'll say it again, 2nd is the aim. By being 10 points clear when we were, we've given ourselves a chance.

Yes, I am too. I really do find some of the attitudes and comments against our own players way over the top, bordering on being pretty abusive.

See you Saturday.

All due respect Pete it was a poor performance today and we have been poor for a while there will be frustrations and opinions on here. Granted some are OTT.

“sack Lampard” “coach crashes” “Wright hasnt touched the ball”

The reality is if we have any hope of going up a turnaround is needed quick as momentum is everything, and if that doesnt happen we are in fact doomed to the collapse which will be bigger than the Wall Street Crash

Sorry Pete, this is the best chance this club will ever get at top flight football. No club in this league has ever surrendered a lead of this size and we have managed it in a month.

If the season goes under these players deserve all the criticism coming their way. Fucking bottlers.
This team also built that lead. Moronic comment in the extreme

It was way too early to celebrate promotion before, and way to early to give up on it now. Beat Oxford at home, beat Middlesbrough at home, watch Ipswich struggle through their next 3 fixtures, sit pretty with a 6-point gap two games from now.
If we beat Middlesbrough I'll buy everyone who likes this post a pint.

Just can’t agree with the idea of ‘nobody would have thought last year…’.

These same players nailed their colours to the mast a couple of months back, and have stumbled, even in games we’ve won, to being clear by measly goal difference. Now I wouldn’t trust them to win at Hillsborough. They raised the bar, so it’s up to them to follow it up. We’re on the cusp of a relatively colossal failure.

‘In football, ability alone is not enough’. We aren’t seeing much ability and I’m certainly not seeing any real desire.

But at the same time, they can't be immune to criticism.

Our form, our results, our performances. They've not been good enough for a while now, barring the wins against Leicester and Milwall and even there, they were very hard fought wins.

It's as if nothing that has been said over the last few weeks has been taken in. At least I'd hope it's been said. The warning signs have been there for so long now, it's quite unbelievable how the team have seemingly paid them no attention whatever. Is it naivety? Is it arrogance? Simple, plain stubbornness?

Is there time to turn it around? Certainly. Plenty of time. Do I have faith that's going to happen? At the moment, we're not seeing enough to suggest it will. We can't rely solely on our home form. Because if that collapses, and the way we're playing at the moment it's not at all out of question we might drop more points in home games, we've got nothing. Surely that's just a little bit worrying?

Pete the form cannot be excused

Too much negativity on all social media. The stuff being churned out on a certain YouTube channel is a prime example of how fickle fans are. A few weeks ago they were spouting about how we were going to walk the league, then more recently that certain players should never put the shirt on again.

I’m not exactly doing cartwheels, but surely the only way we are likely to go up is to back the team. At the end of the day all of the negativity is hot air. The only way to show our support is to show up as partisan fans.
