That song messes with me. It transports me back to better times, to the frisson of excitement before kick-off when we wondered whether we could get three magical points that day against Tottenham or Chelsea, Utd or anyone, to help in our efforts to stay up. Then, as the song goes on (epitomised by the rubble of Highfield Road), a dark cloud appears and names like Richardson, McGinnity and Sisu blow into my mind and make me angry about what we've lost.
Thank God I've still got my memories of the better times.
