Completely pointless options. The situation is far more complicated than that.
SISU are here for the Ricoh Arena, nothing else. Coventry City and the team (which is the only thing we are all really interested in) will not benefit from them acquiring it. The only way the club can move forward is without SISU. So far, SISU have played an absolutely blinder and some Coventry fans have even bought their bollocks.

You only have to look back to the very start to understand their intentions.
A team including: Westwood, Fox, Dann, Turner, Gunnarson, Henderson and Best. A team which given a small amount of investment could realistically challenge for a place in the premier league. Instead, they chose to sell our best players and refuse investment, leading to a slow and inevitable decline to League 1. They even allowed a man clearly not qualified to keep a poor side in the Championship to manage the side all season, despite the impending relegation. Owners intent on keeping a club up would not do this. Now, in League 1, their plans are starting to fall into place. They can realistically claim the Ricoh is too expensive for the league and attempt to bankrupt ACL.
Very well played SISU.
A new stadium? I've never heard such bollocks in all my life.

The initial options are pointless. CCFC with SISU will never prosper.

Admittedly, ACL are not faultless, but SISU are the reason our club is nothing more than a joke.

Im still to be convinced by Joys interview there is any earning potential from a rotheram style stadium with 1500 fans.
Outside Cov !!!!
stadium naming rights are hardly going generate millions !!!!
F&B for 1500 fans what a joke !!!!

The Ricoh is the only option !!!!

No not really, not even that nasty little rumour about ACL, Higgs trust and CCC just wanting to continually beat Joy Seppala up for playground kicks.

I don't understand how such a simple question can cause so much. It seems relatively simple: 1 support ccfc (with sisu as it's owners) or 2 support acl (with ccc as it's owners). At the moment it isn't possible to split one of the options apart until anything changes.

It causes problems because the issues are not that simple - as I'm sure you (and everyone else over the age of 5) understand.

So are you saying that if you don't support SISU you don't support CCFC? Because that is what it is starting to sound like.

It isn't you asking the question though Nick.

I think it just says ccfc, sisu happen to be their owners. We support the club, I doubt anybody actively supports the owners and looks out for them on the stock market.

Coventry City is Otium Entertainment Group.

Do you support Otium?

Ahh so with the past regime you were big fans of richardson and robinson? Do you follow robinson around the country when he makes speeches as one of his fans? To support a team do you have to be a fan of the owners? What if the owners move and buy a different club, do you have to change clubs?

Or did you just support the players on the pitch?

I think everybody on here is a coventry city fan.

How many clubs are owned by umbrella companies or within holding groups etc?

Thank you. That was just the point I was trying to get you to make.

We all support the players on the pitch. We don't all support the owners actions (via the club) off the pitch.

The OP has posted a stupid question, in that if we call ourselves CCFC fans we have to blindly follow whatever the owners do.

I think the club has behaved disgracefully in this whole affair, does that mean I don't support CCFC anymore?

The original question says coventry city or the council?

Which is a ridiculously simplistic question to a complex scenario.

How can I not be on the side of CCFC yet still support them?

The question was SISU or the council. I think I would prefer anyone to SISU other than Hitler.....and that is a close call.

I think we should do a sponsored Hitlerthon, where every thread on the board should involve him.

Strangely it was replicated on GMK. Everyone answered 1. I guess that's the difference between a forum of CCFC fans and a forum who want the council / ACL to shaft the club over and over again.

Merely pointing out the different attitudes to criticism of and criticism by the Sixfields attendees.

Trust that is keeping up sufficiently for you.

Can't we just agree that anybody who makes it personal between fellow fans is Hitler?

Both answered 1? :)

Seriously though, I'd be surprised if some of the brighter members of that forum didn't comment on the facile nature of the question - but it has been a while since I've visited.

It isn't as simple as 1 or 2, unless asked by a simple man with an agenda.

The poster's a bit of a dickhead though.

Whereas back in reality the vast majority of people know it is Joy who is trying to shaft the council and a charity.

1. Failed, unethical Mayfair, Cayman hedge fund.. Using our club as leverage to get a stadium for their short term business gain

Or

2. Coventry city council and Coventry charity who currently own our stadium, and represent some city longer term interests

It is amazing that some people think CCFC as a club doesn't relate to the city.. It does, Coventry is the heart of the club. Something Sisu cant seem to relate to.
