Telegraph has a poll "Which loan player should Mark Robins keep after Christmas?"

but as (for me at least) McGoldrick should be offered a Permanent 2 year deal min, as a given, it would be more appropriate to ask which OTHER player should cov extend loan of.

Personally I cannot think of ANY of the players I would extend the contract of (And I include Ball in that).

But hey if you can think of a valid reason to extend any of the current crop's extension I would be interested to hear on what grounds.

Ball has had 1 decent hald since he came to the club - hardly a decent return considering he replaced Keogh!

PMT1, not full of accuracies as usual I see. What position does Ball play? What position does Keogh play?

Just because we have not played well it don't mean all our players are shite. Is it upsetting you that we have started getting results? Are you going to keep questioning everything about our team, including when we win 4-0 away from home?

There is still a long way to go this season. We will get to see if any of the players are good enough. Not say they are shite less than 2 months into the season.

If we all agreed with each other it would be pretty dull. Everyone has the right to an opinion.

So far for me McGoldrick, Bailey, Ball and Reckord have all shown varying degrees of potential but over time that list may shrink.

cant we get this troll banned?

I think he is the person calling themself 'skybluePM' in the comments section of articles in the Telegraph. He is almost universally disliked there because of his inability to see anything good at the club. His moaning has become a joke. It's probably best to ignore him until he has something sensible to say.

I was thinking that myself to be honest, good call.

I never read his comments anymore, I just dislike them instead.

Hmmm... tbh the loanees have a lot to prove yet. Not a lot of games where we have seen them all play yet either so can't call yet.
One exception is McGoldrick who has been great for us so far. Worryingly though he reminds me of the McSheffrey loan to Luton years back and he did wonders there scoring for fun. We of course had him back and did not renew the loan. McGoldrick will most likely go back to Forest in January if he continues to do well here. Just hope MR's plans for Cody are all set to reap benefit before that happens...

McGoldrick seems to be enjoying himself playing for us. Forest either don't want or need him. Not checked when his birthday is. He is 24 now. If he is 25 when out of contract no compo will be payable. He can sign a pre contract agreement with us in Jan. Would Forest accept a small fee to make it permanent before then that don't put us above 65% of our income? If he keeps getting goals just 1k or more on our gates could raise enough for a small fee.

If they wanted to keep him why did they send him out on loan in the last year of his contract?

Agreed that this is the same troll as in the Telegraph. Trolls don't have opinions. They just say outrageous things to provoke a reaction. Only solution is to ignore them. They hate that.

..to see if he is worth giving a new contract to maybe? Form is a funny thing. He was a regular at one point and still very young. If his form improves and that has happened so far then I suspect we will lose him to a new contract at Forest which will secure a price on his head for Forest. If it then does not work out they will loan him again next season. Can't imagine him doing really well for us and Forest say "yeah keep him why not, we have no use for an in form striker!" Come on if he does well he will be looking for a new deal at Forest for sure and they will likely give him one. If he dips in form then it might be us who maybe won't want him? Bring on Cody asap, fit and scoring cause we are going to need him.

Scoring in Div3 and the Prem can be seen as two different things. He has already failed at Forest. Would they want to give him another contract? Would you want us to give a player another contract that had played below par for us but played better when out on loan at a lower level?

Astute...isn't that what McSheffrey did exactly? (Luton)
Not sure what you mean by the Prem? Forest are in the Championship.
Still think if he does well with us then they will want him back in January.
The only scenario I see for us is if Forest are doing well regardless and therefore feel they can still do well without him as cover at least then we offer a few hundred k's or so which might ensure he becomes a City player but that I think is unlikely.
Listening to his recent comments the player says he is waiting to see what Forest might offer him if he does well on loan and he intends to play well for us in order to be recognised as an asset to them and would love to get back there and play for them.
So he's playing his heart out for Forest not us! We simply reap the benefit of that...

I remember an interview with him when we got him. He said there were at least 3 others ahead of him for striker positions (a bit like ROD) at forest. As well as he might play, I can't see him staying at forest. We'll either pull off a minor miracle and sign him or he'll be sold off to another championship team (or a league 1 team that can afford him). I can't see him going to the premiership just yet!

Assuming there's no barriers to these financially, I'd keep all of them if possible. McGoldrick and Bailey for their current performances, Ball and Reckord because they've been decent and are only going to get better. Brown and Henderson have been a little disappointing (though they haven't had that long to prove themselves yet) but I'd probably keep them for their potential.

Jesus people give the loan players a chance, were only quarter way through the season with some of the loan players arriving late. Judge them fairly around January and I bet some opinions will have changed

On this I agree with you whole heartedly!

Unfortunately we only have Reckord, Henderson and Bailey until mid December.

Was in an article on the main site.

We'll probably have to do without those three for our Christmas and New Years fixtures.

Robins is considering making a few more loan signings to cover them when they go but could equally stick with the players he has and see if he can resign the three mentioned loanees again in the January transfer window!

Well Ball may have had only 1 decent game but how many minutes has he actually been on the pitch? Of course you would keep him. Also you would keep Bailey and Reckord. Both look more suitable in the roles than the people they have replaced.

McGoldrick will leave almost certainly early January so we need a replacement lined up.

Before these last 3 games, i thought Ball was a waste of space, but he's doing well at the moment. We've got him on a view to a move deal, so that deal can go through at the end of the season if he keeps this form up. Brown needs to go ASAP. Bailey, need to see more. At the moment, i would say that he can go back to Derby. Henderson, need to see a lot more of him, but Arsenal wouldnt let him go anyway. Reckprd is doing well. He's forced Hussey pout of the team. Now Hussey seems to be getting his shot at being a winger, we need a new left back. Either Christie can go back to the left side and leave the right to Clarke and Willis, or we could try and sign Reckord on a permanent deal. Cant see Wolves letting him go thought. He's a great young prospect, so our offer would need to be good, which wont happen is SISU have anything to do with it.

TSBL - Sending Brown back ASAP is a none issue as we have to keep him till the end of the season. I wont repeat myself again on why...I've done it enough recently!

Apart from that, seeing how young Brown is im sure he can improve under Robins and will probably improve under Sir Alex when he goes back.

Bailey as done a great job since coming into the squad and I for one would like to see him signed up in January. It'st just whether Derby would want to let him go and for how much is the other question that would need to be answered!

Henderson will go back to Arsenal in December, we may get him back in January but I wouldn't be too concerned if Robins didn't bring him. But don't take that as me writing him off. He's had a good write up from Arsene and I trust his judgement!

Grendal - Ball has had three good games rather than one good game. I think he's a good prospect and if he keeps up this level of play and even improves himself more over the course of the season then I'd be more than happy for Robins to take him on perminantly in the summer.

McGoldrick is a dam good player and he's only 24. I think he has so much room to improve and would love to see him come to this club on a perminant but that all depends on Forest and Im inclined to agree that we'll probably lose him in January.

Reckord is another player I think has a lot of potential and I would love to see him come to this club perminantly in January but would Wolves let him go considering his potential? Part of me believe they wont allow it! Getting him back on Loan in January would be good though IMO!

Reckord probably will go back to Wolves, I'd like him to come here permanently.
Bailey, I am told his loan is with a view to a permanent, if so, SIGN HIM UP!
McG, he'd be cheap, no more than 250k, if we get promoted, he will join us IMO.
Ball. Doubt he'll join, if he does really well and we get promoted, we might sign him, doubt it, who knows!?
Brown, hope he doesn't sign, I don't rate him.
Hendo, could be good, but it was a wierd signing because CM is a position where we have bags of talent; Barton, Thomas, Jennings, Bailey

Hope Moussa steps up his game, last 2 home games has been poor, and if that form continues, he doesn't deserve a long-term contract.*

*don't know how well/bad he played v Oldham + York, if someone could update me, I'd be pleased.
