But if you had to choose just one of those places, which would it be ?Hmm, good thread, BBR.
I love Coventry. It's my home, my family are here, my team are here and I deeply care about its rich history, but on my travels I always cast an eye out on places I would be very happy to live and make my home.
I have a list and add on places as I encounter them.
1. Bath
2. Malvern Hills
3. Lincoln
4. Liverpool
5. St Ives
6. Bedford (right by the river. Lovely there)
7. London
Think that's about it and they're not in any particular order, just as they came to mind.
Ooh, tough one.But if you had to choose just one of those places, which would it be ?

Yeah.London?
You need your head looking at. But I suppose you already know that :wacky:
The new Cassidy houses?I’m very happy In Coventry but wouldn’t say no to one of those houses on the Corley gardens estate
We discussed going to Australia a few years ago, my mum and dad were all set to emigrate in 1979. But my dads mum took ill and was hospital bound for the last 2 years of her life and the opportunity went, my dad still regrets it to this day
But mum and dad made a great life for themselves, my wife wouldn’t go as she pretty much has to look after her mum and dad and gets very little support from her siblings
You would be OK if you had nearly a million for a 1 bed flat in a decent area then :wideyed:Yeah.
Just spend a bit of time there and I love all the theatre and concerts, museums and events at your fingertips.
Would choose my area wisely though.
It is good until you get bad weather. Then you want to be inland a bit.Somewhere I can hear the sea rolling onto the shore, am going to Hayling island for me hols, got a place that backs onto the beach, I might not come back.
They don’t seem to be selling many but I think they look really niceThe new Cassidy houses?
Silly money for what they are
All round to yours for a holiday then.I am right near the beach. It is about 13 miles long. We don't get holiday makers visiting as they go to the lakes when they come this way. I rarely lock my cars or the house as it is very safe here. I don't worry about the kids when they go out. We have a warmer climate......although it can get very windy at times. And when you drive off our island you have everything you need.
Well if you could wait till I’ve won it I’d really appreciate itI'd love to live in the countryside with a bit of land. Just waiting on the lottery.
Least friendly in the UK, or do you mean anywhere? You would be OK if you had nearly a million for a 1 bed flat in a decent area then :wideyed:
Tried living in London. It is the least friendly place I have ever been. Makes Coventry look posh.
Least friendly in the UK, or do you mean anywhere?
Came back from New York and the Londoners then seemed the friendliest people in the world, such was the rudeness of the New Yorkers.
This time of year isn't best. The flying rats are bringing up their young. But yeah why notAll round to yours for a holiday then.
Mixture of unfriendly and too nervous to talk. But yes the UK.Least friendly in the UK, or do you mean anywhere?

Love France but hate Paris for the reason you mention.Didn't find that at all in NYC. Everyone was super friendly and happy to talk. Paris however, not that's a rude city.
Not sure where Id like to live. But no where bigger than Coventry I think. I like the size of the place. maybe Amsterdam.
Told you not to wear the sheep shagging t shirtDon't think I could ever live in Wales. Had a couple of incidents of anti-English sentiment.
Think it would always be England for me if I ever moved.
Hey ....Flying rats ???This time of year isn't best. The flying rats are bringing up their young. But yeah why not
Seagulls. They nest on the roofs. But when the young fall the parents swoop down at you and try and shite on you. Can be scarey for kids. An absolute menace but protected by law. And they make a massive mess attacking the bins outside the fast food places.Hey ....Flying rats ???
Won't be in a few weeks. I am going up to spend time with my grandson :woot:The Highlands......Beautiful and peaceful.
Ah right got ya.....Just i had a picture of a new breed of rats with wings !!.....Always had a 'thing' about rats since i read the James Herbert book when i was about 11. Least i'll sleep better tonight now !Seagulls. They nest on the roofs. But when the young fall the parents swoop down at you and try and shite on you. Can be scarey for kids. An absolute menace but protected by law. And they make a massive mess attacking the bins outside the fast food places.
Again i'm jealousWon't be in a few weeks. I am going up to spend time with my grandson :woot:
Staying South but travelling all over each day. Don't want to be too far away from Glasgow as that is where my grandson is. Will borrow him as much as they will let me. But you are certainly right about the midgesAgain i'm jealous!! Can't afford to go this year but hoping a couple or 3 weeks next summer........Watch out for the Midges !!
