The orange bars are our points scored. That will only ever go up actually unless we get points decducted for entering admin etc. Our position is the wavy thing in the middle. According to the graph we were 23rd when Robins took us over we have gained seven places, but it's had some ups and downs.

So why do the bars dip? Look to the left of the chart & it shows position in the table.

I'm pretty sure league position is the line graph and points in the bar graph.

The bars don't dip. It must be a slight optical illusion. Look to the right it shows points scored. The position in the table is highlited by the wavy line to the games played which is along the bottom.

You're absolutely right...I just looked again - I think some kinda optical illusion - BUT my point is still valid...upward trend (although as you point out...erratic)

Sometimes I think Coventry City are an optical illusion.

Especially in an empty sky blue stadium...it's a sky blue version of Where's Wally

Don't have to do Where's Wally when there's 11 of them quite easy to spot in there at times.

The graph is from http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/teams/CoventryCty.html - they update it after every match.. last years indicated sustained relegation form. Some other recent form tables there too.. handy little resource.

Our home record is almost identical to last seasons....

We have lost nearly half our home matches so far.

That's not going to equate to a meteoric rise up the table is it.

We need to sort out our home form.

The answer is three. Three of the four defeats have come under Robins' stewardship. Carlisle, Notts County & Scunthorpe.

We can excuse the Carlisle one though to a degree as it was his first in charge.

All the top teams have to play each other. They have to play us. It is all in our own hands, but of course they do have an advantage. So do we though with q large squad when all the usual injuries start in winter.

At work and bored so had a quick look at the last lot of results. Only 3 teams that were in the top 8 won. We caught up with 5 of the top 8 clubs by at least 2 points.

Get your money on of you think that will happen. You would get big odds on a 6 timer...especially if any of them are playing each other

Only 2 teams that were in the top 8 won tonight. We won again. Now we are only 9 points away from the playoffs. So we just caught up with another 6 teams at the top by 2 points or more.

Want to try the same comment for when we play Pompey?
