Noel Whelan has tweeted to say that he has applied for a postion with the club and is finding out if he's successful tomorrow. Another old boy set to return?

Doesn't sound like he's been treated very well by the club either! Shocker! Personally I'd love to have him teaching the attacking midfielders and strikers and Shaw handling the defensive side with Oggy sorting out the goal keepers.

Always loved Whelan, a bloke who showed passion for the club, played with desire and gave his all. He also had more skill in his little toe than half the dross I ahve seen wear the badge in the last few years.
