There is no like for like player in our squad and probably not in the league either. If Grimes is missing at any point as the squad is at present, we would either change formation and play 3 centre backs, or try and play Eccles or Allen in a more defensive role.
Yes - he's played 40+ games in the last 8 consecutive seasons - i posted something about him a couple of weeks ago, and that i remember.Thankfully, Grimes’ durability is elite. He’s been playing 40+ games a season since the season we went down to L2. At a rough guesstimate, he’s missed about 15 games in the last 8 seasons through injury/suspension/wasn’t picked.
