If someone else looked at buying half the stadium. ACL want out.
What if someone looked at the stadium and thought. It currently makes a profit. If we build a hotel it has potential to make more.
If someone came in and promised to do that and regenerate the area would the council have a duty to consider it.
What if they did not want the football club.
The deal gets done and sisu are left with just the football club.

What would sisu do then. Would they just wind the club up or would they be forced to make the club a succes in order to sell it.

All hyperthetical. I assume the council would demand any investor takes on the football club aswell.

Can't think of why someone would want to build a hotel that is next to a football stadium, so far away from the city centre and with little public transport nearby.

because its an exhibition centre that is loosing business because it lacks hotel accommadation

exhibtors don't turn up on the bus

It is currently making money not losing it.

It is beside a masive motorway network

It is the middle of the UK near Birmingham airport and 1 hr 20 mins from London

A railway station has been agreed to be built their

ACL have admitted people looking to book it as a conference centre have changed their mind due to not eneough hotel space.

and lastly but not currently a big one but if the football club stayed and ever become successful they would get free advertising and marketing form that. Also away fan could come watch the match have a beer go in the casino after the match kip over in the hotel go home the next day.

If I had the dosh and knew I could buy that share from ACL with getting tied into the football club I think I would go for it.

Buy it as it is making profit at the moment build the hotel, get the conferencing centre going even better. The value goes up. Then sell the hotel to a brand name and sell the share of the stadium for a profit.

Probably about the same length of time it would take to buy the share and get the hotel built.

So you would have an arena that is currently making profit, a conference centre, the M6 motorway connection 5 minutes drive away. Birmingham airport 15 minutes away and a railway station.

The only stumbling block I would imagine would be the council would tell any perspective buyer they must also take on the football team.

But if someone got it making enough profit to cover the 100k a month from the football team which I would guess an extra hotel would do.

Then it would be quite interesting

Obviously not good news for CCFC though
