The end of having a settled squad. These last few years have been really nice just having a group of players you can get behind and watch grow. Genuinely they are the most likable group I can remember and seem to love being here, it'll be a shame if we ditch most of them. Hopefully we can keep a core group and add some quality

Yeah, that winning feeling

Games at a more standard and respectable hour.

A much more even playing field.

Lower prices.

Fewer home grown players getting a chance due to our lower level academy, compared to nearly all the rest of the Premier

VAR (which I have said many a time, I do like the concept of) which has now become a monster due to over reliance, nitpicking and slide rule judgements

Not being completely outplayed regularly.

Away games shouldn't be much different price wise, overall. Add to the fact that we will have less games to play, fans should be better off financially - certainly for away day costs ( offset of course, for some, re: ST prices)

The only bonus of going to the PL is the money that guarantees the club’s financial future for a time. This has been a brilliant season and getting to the PL would be the ultimate redemption. However it is the getting there that is the best part. I honestly don’t think the PL is all that particularly with VAR. I think the top teams arrogantly think we all want to be there. I believe the most entertaining football happens from the championship below.

Yes completely…. I love the championship. It’s prime 90’s premier league. Once the chase is over it’s going to feel a bit flat as the year progresses. I just hope that we don’t have 1000’s of people with their phones out when Man City score.

I hate it when people say prefer to be in EFL than prem but this is a good thread.

For me

No var
Games all the time
Saturday tradition of majority of games taking place
Most opposition teams being quite unknown to fans of whoever they are facing
More of a balanced league table compared to prem

I think weirdly one of the biggest reasons for our fall was being in the PL for so long and constantly hitting a ceiling. Fans and the club had become demotivated with avoiding relegation being the only success season upon season. As a football purist I don’t think any competition can be that great if only 5 teams can wins it.
