I selected I will not enter the ground as it was the closest. I'm not doing this season again. Next time I see City in person will be when we've got new owners.
No I mean Nuneaton. Or the NEC. Or anywhere else I don't feel classes as Coventry (though I accept that what someone deems "Coventry" is entirely personal and you and I may not have the same idea - which is the danger with moving outside of Cov at all).
For me, the other side of the M6 isn't Cov. Warwick Uni is though.
If they are proven to have taken my club out of Coventry through greed and don't return my club to Coventry they will never get another penny out of me. My 4 year old lad should have just had his first season watching our club. Won't take small ones away. They have taken this away from us.Not an easy thing to forgive. His initials are CCFC. He knows our club plays in blue. He has seen us on TV a few times. Not been able to take it any further. He could end up being lost to another club just like his older brothers.
My plan for this season was to attend about 10 away days, as I usually do, and never go to Sixfields. Any other games, be glued to CWR.
Turned out different. I haven't attended a single game, home or away, and my CWR listening has lessened over the season to the point where I'm usually out now, and find out results later.
This has surprised me. Having had a season ticket for over 35 years, organised holidays to make sure it didn't clash with the city, all the other stuff supporters do to not miss a match, I would never have believed my interest could be lessened so much.
Next season. Well, I'm considering being a regular at COV rugby. My mates are all going, and I think I'll join them. I'll still keep an eye on the sky blues results though. It won't leave me completely, surely ?

Sounds very familiar. I have never been to so few games and I will probably go to even less next season.
A lot of my time used to revolve around being a supporter, the first thing I would do in the morning would be check for any news. Would rush home on Friday for the phone in. Weekends were planned around either going to games or being at home to listen. Now I can't even remember the last time I went on the club website, wouldn't recognise half of our team if they were stood in front of me. Haven't listened to the phone in or commentary (live outside CWR area and won't pay a subscription) all season and last saw a game about 6 months ago.
When my wife my Mum get together my Mum always asks if I still go into a fowl mood all weekend when they lose, up until this season the answer was yes, not now. I still care if they win or lose but I check the score and then move on. Its starting to feel like its not my team or my club anymore, don't want it to be that way but its happening. How many people have drifted away already never to return?

My son is 5 next month, and all he's managed to watch is Huckerby and Whelan at the legends day last year, oh and Sheff Utd on tv, apart from that he knows Coventry City only by the shirts I frequently wear, this just shouldn't be the case to a young born and bread coventrian.
