What Song Would You Listen To ? (3 Viewers)

In most sports these days players like to listen to music before big games to calm them or get them hyped up etc. Which got me thinking what track I'd listen to just before the kick off ? For me I'd want a good rock track blasting out so I'd go for Whole Lotta Rosie by ACDC, as it is lively and gets the blood pumping. So what song would you choose ?

I think it would depend on the game.

Would need to be something to psyche up and get ready for war.

Down 4 cans of red bull, a pre workout drink and blast this out.

On a serious note, I think something like this:

It's the startup bit, gets faster and faster then kicks in.

It would be something Kasabian as they are good at doing that, but they are scummers.

There is white stripes, but it's a bit of a rip of off plenty of others like Joshua.

Switchblade smile by kasabian would have to be on there.

Hate the enemy (lynch me now) but live and die in these towns always gets me buzzing personally on occasions like this. Was on repeat for the checkatrade build up.

Although, I went to the gym once after dosing up on pre-workout and this came on.

I nearly went through the windscreen going for it!

Yeah, just listened to that one after you mentioned it (Kasabian).

Another couple to get you going

Used to have that one most days before the gym shouting it out the windows at anybody who went by.

Another one:

They have to be really loud though for it to work.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned a bit of Pendulum either:

It's probably a good job I don't control playlists pre-game.

Into the Volley. Skids
She sells Sanctuary . CULT
Babylon is Burning. Ruts.

Have heard the intro for into the volley before, but not the actual song

The only Babylon you need Wingy is Babylon Zoo:

(Not the bit where it goes slow and weird).

The Aussie Rugby Union team have Thunderstruck on full blast by ACDC, on full blast before matches. Opponents said it seems to turn them into a frenzy !

'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now' by Starship.
That was the song that seemed to inspire the whole of Coventry in May 1987.

It was in fact number one on that very day

At half time people were a bit down and edgy, come all this way and losing- then they played this and loads of people ended up singing along and there was a strange, intangible feeling that we were gonna win, the rest as they say...

I’ve loved this ever since (not musically!) and for the few hundred behind the goal near me as well as myself, it will always remind us of half time, Wembley, May 16th 1987

I'll stick with "Puff The Magic Dragon". Such feeling in the chorus!

It would be this- the best live song I ever heard and gives me goosebumps now, let alone if I was about to go on the pitch and play- would have me ‘in the zone’ alright :emoji_punch:
