Was just thinking of all the world class players we're going to see at the Ricoh next season. Are there any particular players people are looking forward to see?

This may be an awful way to look at the game, but I always hope the best players of whoever the opposition are, are suspended or injured when they come to play us!

I can distinctly remember last time in the PL that when Henry, Shearer etc played us, I'd hope they'd miss the game.

I've never actually found joy in watching Coventry other than in seeing us get a result (and the joy then is anazing), and would far sooner see a turgid 0-0 than watch us lose a thriller 4-3. I know this makes no sense from an 'entertainment' perspective, but I'm far too emotionally invested for that.

So same again next season please - perfectly happy for Haaland, Palmer and the like to have great seasons, as long as they don't perform when they play us!

Sounds odd but there’s nobody in the Premiership that’s a superstar like it used to be in the PL when we were there last.

Bergkamp, Zola, Juninho, Shearer, Cantona etc and list goes on.

Maybe because the PL was still in its first decade it was more exciting as it grew.

My daughter and I have for a few years always joked with each other about watching Salah versus Bidwell/Da Silva - bit gutted we’ll not see that now.

Also if Pep decides to move on at the end of the season that will be a huge shame not to have seen him in the dug our at the CBS.

I'd probably say Haaland is on the list

I know what you're saying though, names are few and far between

If Kane was still at Spurs, he would be on the list, plus Spurs wouldn't be in the Championship like they will be next season!

Cant wait to see a portion of our fans clapping Gyokeres as he scores his 5th goal of the game 😉
I actively had a problem with everyone doing it for Hamer. His fake pretence and playing for a genuine rival.

Next season I expect nothing, othrr than relegation. Vik was clearly too good for us, single minded and we got top money. He's now elite level and we played our part in that. He also didn't pretend he wanted to stay and left early in the window. I've got no issue at all if people want to show their appreciation or even sing his song before or after the game, just not during.

Have you considered you just got old!

Kids still worship the likes of Haaland, Saka, Salah.

There are plenty of 'Stars' based off talent. I mean Haaland is basically better than Shearer at all aspects of the game. The thing that's missing is they are all total media trained robots who have to be in top shape to stay competitive and stay out of trouble to protect their brand. Cantona, Le Tiss etc wouldn't last now sadly

I can remember one game at HR where Zola controlled a ball that was absolutely hammered at him which such nonchalance, I let out a gasp.

I think David Burrows then “left one on him”

I have no issue before or after but a portion will do it during which just undermines our team

That's just nostalgia and marketing

Haaland has the most goals in a season & Fernandes is likely to break most assists record this season

It's transitioning atm due to Kane, De Bruyne & Salah all leaving in last few seasons who all broke records. However, I'm sure in 25 years people will be saying there just isn't players like Saka, Cherki, Odegaard, & Szboszlai anymore

I absolutely agree, Vik>>>lard arse Blunt Gus. Still wouldn't be chanting for him before a game, no issue with after, i wouldn't do it though. Tbh i doubt anyone will feel like giving him anything other than a light applause after Arsenal have dealt with us but perhaps i'll be pleasantly surprised and we'll claim a memorable victory.
