No one is in a relegation battle after 17 games (and that’s three after Robins was sacked). Go back to making up rumours about Bobby Thomas.

Yes. Before Lampard was appointed. Level on points with Plymouth. Below Luton

Lampard would walk if we bottle this

If we dont do it we will never do it.

Unless we get a minted owner willing to actually put cash in like Wrexham or Birmingham
Unless he could successfully frame it as him having no choice but to walk because of Doug King tying his hands, it would most likely mark the end of his managerial career.

I don't think we'll never do it if we don't do it this year.
But I think it would have to be through the play offs.
Can't see us getting another chance at the autos like this one.

I would be willing to bet the same person confidently predicted we would never get promoted after the Luton final too. It’s just silly to suggest we would never have another chance.

Say if Lampard walks at the end of the season, is there another Hellberg/Le Brie type out there we can appoint? I’d be open and interested to explore that. Granted he came into a great situation with Boro in the top 2, but I feel hes proven himself to be better than Edwards.

I don't understand the logic of why the club would implode if we don't get promoted. Why would people give up their season tickets? They weren't expecting us to be top this year when they bought them.
And why do we have to sell players? It makes no sense.
Why would Frank walk unless he had an offer from a prem side? (There will always be chairman who want Frank whatever his actual managerial success). He can stay until he is sacked and live very comfortably.
But what will happen is that CCFC will become the Spurs of the championship. Forever known as bottlers.

Ah yes, the same Le Bris who took Sunderland on a poor run of form after being top?
I’d look at Robbie Savage.

I think for some with the ST it would just maybe be a case of 'whats the point' when seemingly especially after this season it seems we will never ever do it

You think people bought their STs because they expected us to get promoted? What would the difference between the start of this season and the start of next (if not promoted), in terms of expectation? Other than the initial sulking/disappointment?

Nah. We keep buying them in the hope we see it being ‘our’ season. Blowing promotion like this would confirm in my mind that it never will be.

No not at all, everyone buys an ST in the hope that this is the year

-But when you lose on Penalties in a play off final
-Lose in the 123rd minute of a play off semi final
-Bottle the biggest lead ever seen in the championship and not go up
-slightly different but get cheated out of an FA Cup final

You probably start to think that maybe you're destined to never get the success deserved

Following CCFC has become such a beloved part of my life and central part of my routine, and I've made so many friendships I wish to keep, that I can't imagine not renewing my ST as long as I can afford to.

Not going up this season after the lead that we had at the top would be pretty fucking gutting and I'm under no illusions that there would be a mass exodus - definitely MVE, Rudoni, EMC and Wright but probably Lampard and possibly even King will all leave - but I'm there whatever form the club takes.
