Who remembers buying fake games from the bloke down the pub for the PS1? But to play it, you had to switch discs during the load up so all fake PS1 games came with a spring to keep the button pressed in whilst the lid was open? The good old days!

Never had an N64. I know lads who did. But I've always been PlayStation. Didn't own a game boy either, tbf. I had a Sega Game gear.
I remember lads at school playing Goldeneye, but for me, it was all about GTA, GTA London, Twisted Metal, and Fifa 98.

I had a Gameboy and a Game Gear. Still have actually.
The secondary school friendship group was about a 50/50 N64 Playstation split, but when it was time for some multiplayer it was the lads with N64s houses that we always ended up at.
FIFA 98 was a great FIFA game, specifically for the indoor.

Played a fair bit of Kingdom Come 2 now, a lot of fun for going exploring/sneaking around, but the quests themselves can be tedious and a bit of a ball ache. I've mostly completed those at a snail's pace while just roaming around.

I tried to get into it but sold my copy very quickly. I know it has gotten a lot of good critic and user scores but I found it very boring with shit combat and not the best graphics tbh.

As someone who doesn't really touch games post mid-2000s the graphics still look top notch to me. I do find quests boring to complete but that's just par for the course with this genre of game.

Firing a bow and arrow is basically impossible unless you do it at point blank range in my experience

So ive given the Witcher 3 a good go and just dont seem to be able to get into it. The combat feels a bit clunky and I keep pressing the wrong buttons! Ill more than likely go back and give it another go at some point and enjoy it (I didnt get on with Hogwarts Legacy at first but really enjoyed it when I re-visited it). But for now, ive managed to get Assasins Creed Shadows for £20 on Vinted so im just installing that as its just arrived! I love the stealth of Assasins Creed games and loved Ghost of Tushima so hoping this combines the 2.

I found the witcher 3 got significantly better when you leave Velen.

Witcher 3 is a top 5 RPG of all time imo. I would deffo recommend giving it another chance. AC: Shadows was way better imo than some people thought. Do hate Ubisoft scrapped the AC set during the Civil War though smh.

Ill revisit it at some point! Sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 attempts to get in to a game. Especially when ive been playing a different game for so long.

to be honest it took me 2 attempts. Once it clicked - i was hooked. There is a lot of content though. i mean a lot.

I've just downloaded the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 trial on the playstation - i'll give it a bash later. Couldn't get on board with the first initially. But i'll have another bash at that at some point.

Is AC: shadows the same as every other AC? I had Valhalla - But it just went on...

Will be interested to see what you think of it, I played with no experience of the first one and didn’t even notice I had ‘perks’ available to use. Suspect you will enjoy it as from what I heard, they sorted out the issues from the first one.

Has most of the same elements as that is what Ubisoft does but overall I think it was a refreshing entry for the series and I think the main essence of the missions if you will, were not as monotonous.
