Somebody watched Trainspotting 2 last night

I like Underworld but I hate that track! Seen them live a couple of times and a big cheer goes up when they play it and I just groan like the miserable old git that I am.

What do you think, Bob advertises them to the hilt on twitter but he did same for House of Fools and that was utter rubbish.

Don't mean to bring the mood down, but listening to this brings back a few memories of my childhood when my Dad would play it.

I'm not a country fan but I adore Glen Campbell especially his stuff with Jimmy Webb but the Brian Wilson song, Guess I'm Dumb is my favourite by him. Recorded around the same time as Pet Sounds.

There's a fantastic documentary on Netflix about Glen Campbell, give it a watch

And I've just been listening to this. One of the truly great Punk songs.

I remember reading at the time that Ray Dolby used the album as a vehicle for his then new Dolby Noise Reduction system. It set new standards in sound quality which still shows to this day.

And his son, Thomas, went on to be dead famous too of course.

Well I didn't know that and yes the clarity is exceptional - David Live has the same sort of quality on vinyl

Listening to Fire And Water by Free. Mr Big played over and over what a track !
Went a couple of months ago to the Paul Rogers free spirit gig in Oxford - was just like going back in a time machine - his voice unlike others still retains the quality and tone from back in time - was a great gig Mr Big , the hunter , Stealer all my faves- Free live a good album . The guitarist had big boots to fill and as long as I didn't look at him he did pretty well - recoomeded if he gigs again
