Charity shop update. Three CDs a quid each. Pulp - Different Class. Pearl Jam - TEN. And the very best of talk talk. And treated myself in HMV to the Kinks live in concert. Even though I say it myself some great music amongst that lot !

U2 on BBC 1 tonight at 9 p.m. Not everyone's cup of tea these days, but I've seen them live twice and they are a great stadium band. Joshua Tree is an outstanding album and just for that they have to be respected ?

My mate and me are going to see Gary Numan. He said his latest album is brilliant. I'm too scared to get it

Indeed-great Album but not that fussed about them. I like Def Leppard and the same could be said about them-Hysteria though, what a belter of an album.

I've seen Def Leppard at Monsters of Rock many years ago. The drummer had lost an arm in a car crash,he had a special drum kit made. They were okay but a bit poppy and not really rock.

My favourite band. They are not a rock band but I don't think they've ever claimed to be which isn't surprising with all their influences from 70s glam rock/pop bands like Mott the Hoople & Bowie. Hysteria is a great album but not my favourite, I love Slang which is a bit underrated and overlooked, I could listen to them all day and often do!!
I hate U2 and that pretentious prat of a singer, like Robbie Williams & JK if he walked out in front of my car there would be no skid marks!!

Bono is really disliked and he is a bit up himself. But as a band I rate them and they're a great live act. I dislike a fair few musicians/bands but U2 isn't one of them !

I don't get the dislike of Bono. there are far more pretentious arseholes than him, Kanye springs to mind, the big women in TOWIE is so far stuck up herself

They've just played on Planet Rock Def Leppard doing a cover version of the Kinks Waterloo Sunset. A brilliant version, never heard it before. Best thing they've done !

A whole album of "Breath Taking Piano Music". Unbelievably relaxing. Just pure, beautiful piano solos. I play this a lot. It really chills me out.

My dad liked Russ Conway a pianist in the 60's. He played pop music as well as other stuff on the piano.
