Going to give The Lathums and The Reytons albums a full listen this afternoon. Give them a chance, then unleash my old cynical mind on them.
Had tickets to see these…they were billed as support to some other band. They cancelled without much notice. Apparently they were on Jules Holland and have cancelled a few gigs since.
I’ve heard 2 of their songs…the other is a cracker too…In 6 musics shortlist for single of the year innit....
...I love it...humorous filthy innuendo laden bubblegum pop.

I watched his tribute to Alan Hull on bbc4 the other week, he's clearly into the art of song writing which is great to see.Loved hypersonic missiles.....massive and obvious homage to "born to run"....but also a massive tune.
