If they couldn't make the one in town work when it was surrounded by student accommodation not sure they'll make a go of one on the retail park. Isn't there a new gym opening at the ground as well?

They could. Both their gyms in town are heaving. I'd imagine it is closing for other reasons.

Coventry has a lack of gyms compared to other towns/cities.

I use the Bishops Street one that’s closing. It was only ever an overspill for the Skydome which has around 9000 members and it always has had significant numbers itself. The building is in a bad way. Part of it has been walled off for years due to the roof and there are various other issues so that’s why it’s closing. They’re taking both Bucks and the empty unit next door and putting in an extra floor above. I only live around 20 mins walk away so will use that one going forward.

The new one will be popular. The Gym on Holyhead road is packed, as is Simply Gym in Canley.

Where has all this enthusiasm for gyms come from? Is it on trend to have a gym membership now.

Social media has a big part to play in that, young people prefer a good gym sesh to a beer sesh these days.

Tories wanted youngsters to have to do National Service in their last manifesto. They literally wanted to force them into the Armed Services.

Uniparty policy. They are all much the same, the party differences are more about window dressing and rhetoric than substance.

Why do you think no serious party of government entertains your ideas? Just bad luck?

Little wonder then that the country is in such a mess.

Dunno where this thread has gone but I went to Bucks yesterday afternoon.

Chicken burger was lovely. Like really good. The inside of it was a bit odd. Furnishes by portraits of famous people's mugshots. Anyway, shame it's going.
