Worst ground for me was Gillingham! Real shithole of a place! An evening kick off. Took hours to get there, sat with four of us in a bloody Fiat Pinto (or some tiny box!). Got lost on the way back to Cov!

I had an American friend who lives in Thailand contact me this morning asking me why I had not told him during a phone conversation yesterday that " Ronaldo had died ". I may be lacking empathy here, and although it is sad that Jota has died in a car accident, I'm not sure what that has to do with the EFL. The requirement of the entire footballing world to grind to a halt seems a bit extreme.

Ultimately people die every day, and it's bordering on mourning sickness at this point.

I don't have a problem with it at all. Nothing wrong with showing a bit of respect. No harm will come from not making announcements for one day.

It may not be an EFL thing but it's a football thing. A world class player in his prime who played in England.

And as for we shouldn't show respect because we constantly show respect for nobodies... shouldn't it be the nobodies we ignore?
