Love this story. It shows why the people on here know nothing about football. ManC would not be signing him out of pity but because they rate him, more than what people on here do. And I have never begrudged someone because of their salary. I don't value life that way. But, it's obvious now that the average joe does. Cynical and envy is a dangerous mix.

I know some Sunderland fans and they didn't want him to leave. He is a good keeper very capable.

You don't become a bad keeper over night and since leaving us he hasn't had much game time. He is more than capable in the Premier league. Good luck to him.

Oh I don't know. They took pity on Peter Bodak once and signed him.

Man City will sign him for a simple reason, they need home grown players included in ther 25 man squad, so instead of buying a home grown player at stupid inflated prices, sign the free ones just to make up the numbers.

They are not stupid.

He's likely to be second choice which wouldn't be a bad option for him. Pantilimon has been given plenty of opportunities over the last few years so hopefully Westy will get the same.

Totally agree, this is exactly why he is going there but also he is a decent keeper. Okay he is no JH but he can put a decent shift in when called upon.

He pretty much kept us up during his three years with us, fair play to him whatever he does in the future.

Not much point him moving to Man City if its 'game time' he's after.

seems to me to be a perfect fit for both.....home grown, free and fits in with FFP rules, whilst a very capable NO2 keeper who will be at a much bigger club earning way more money and keeping his fingers crossed that JOE has another mare in november and gets left out for a month or 2 .

Where in the 2 bloggs made before you stated this does it demonstrate peoples knowledge of football, who stated that ManC would sign him for any other reason other than capability or was this a rant awaiting a cause?

regular start, and he just sat back on his sunlounger, beside his massive pool , in his massive villa , took a sip of his massive cocktail and said "nope" with a massive grin.

For your information, I never claimed to know much about football - I'm just a smart arse. Envy - nah. Cynicism - this site is borne of it & the love of an under performing club in a city where I was born.
