But even then it can never identically replicate circumstances exactly. Does it factor in wind, pitch conditions, the cycle of the moon, the bloke elbowing him in the back that the evaluator missed? There's far too many variables to scientifically say "that chance should be a goal 7% of the time". Now that is a scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but its a scientific fact (someone will get this reference).
too complicated, fuck it, just keep scoring goals and win games, simples!!!!

It means that someone has coded an algorithm that measures the % chance of each chance being a goal. What the tech lovers who claim it is objective and scientific don't appreciate is that even with a computer, your outcomes are going to depend on how you code it! We've all seen plenty of hilariously wrong XG %'s for shots/chances.
Still don't get it, my expected xg for Cov is score as many as possible and then try and score some more...fuckin algorithms my arse

He surely can't survive after that, just seen his interview & not sure what game he was watching saying it was even & both goals should have been better defended 🤔
I agree they should have defended better. They should also have attacked better. We scored more goals than they had shots on target.

Now let's guess who is at fault for picking the team and tactics.......

What a result for us, type of solid away performance we’ve needed for months! Then what a set of results!

onwards city.
Don't get too excited but the big difference is Onyeka.

Our opponents away from home came up with a plan on how to beat us. Just leave a few players on the halfway line. Middlesbrough tried it at our place and attacked. WBA tried it today. He will rarely be MOTM because his role goes unnoticed by many, but he will give us an 8 out of 10 most games and give the plaudits to those who get the goals.

Our most important signing for many years including Grimes.

Ultimately we have exchanged Sheaf for him at a net cost of just £1.5 million. Great business.

A good all round performance in a somewhat ragged game of little good football, lots of high balls and a poor pitch. There was never the flow we can produce but W.Brom's high press just wouldn't allow it. Think we sat back a bit second half content with 2-0. We didn't need to get out of second gear and neither side actually worked the goalkeepers at all. We brought on quality subs most teams in this league wished they had.
Sheff.Utd will be a good test as they are playing well now and there is obvious comparisons as to where they should have been this season and us leading the way. Defensively we will need to be smarter and Frank the tank has to nulify Hamer. Do that and we get a win. If we are not back to full confidence by now, we never will be....

Went in the home end today with a West Brom supporting friend of mine. The mood around the place before the game kicked off was one of pure doom and gloom and talk was of how many Cov would score. I’m there thinking West Brom can’t be that bad surely, but they were and I thought Moses was on the ball rather than Rudoni for the second, the way it opened up, But what a strike! And I just had to sit there and say nothing.
Good results elsewhere and things are looking bright again.

Ramsey's post match comments if you're interested. He's really quite delusional.

If the link doesn't take you straight to the start of his interview, it's just after the 11 minute mark.

There's a worrying amount of delusion in that interview. Massive red flags if you're the WBA board

Not sure i disagree too much with his comments overall ..i dont think they did enough to get anything but they do lack a spark in the box

My opinion was we were organised , never really troubled although we did give them a golden chance before our subs .

We were sloppy in possession at times but good out of it .
Physicality a big plus for us right now we are bullying teams

Yep. Its total bollocks, but it gives the dickheads something to obsess over.

This guy sums up the nonsense

As does this guy

Oh well if a couple of footballers don’t understand maths it must be nonsense. 🤣
