Fully fit squad with BTA back. Who’s dropping from the bench?

Do we need 2 CBs on the bench, plus Bidwell who could also cover? It wouldn’t surprise me to see one of Woolfenden or Kitching left out of the squad.
I’m sure KKH also isn’t happy not making the match day squad at the moment.

It's also worrying that some fans still don't understand how the championship works and think that there are guaranteed win fixtures where you can afford to rest players
It's not like they're saying rest the first teamers for the academy kids.

KKH last year swept the boards for Preston's post-season awards and played pretty much every match for them. To suggest he wouldn't be good enough to come in for MvE against teams such as Oxford, Wednesday etc. is ludicrous. Or be able to replace MvE when he's suffering from the flu and throwing up on the pitch. Eccles is an established midfielder at Championship level and more than capable of holding his own against most teams. Admittedly others like Bidwell and Allen would be more of a risk as despite their experience and professionalism age is now making it harder for them to perform at promotion level, and especially with any consistency.

Instead we should be asking could we afford not to rest players, as our poor run of form coincided with players like Grimes looking tired because games were coming thick and fast and they'd played so many minutes without being rested.

KKH hasn't even made squad in ages though. Milan is one of our top 5 players. It's not time to rest him now we have only 5 games in a month

I'm not saying KKH isn't capable but he might need a game or two to get going and we can't really afford that right now

Genuinely don't understand how people can be suggesting resting players for Sheff Utd...

We need to build a gap to 3rd, resting players and expecting a win is not how you do it.

Full strength, get a result. And if when Sheff Utd comes along we have to rest 1 or 2, then we have to.
West Brom are shit but it's not like it's a case of playing Allen, Bidwell and half the bench and still coming out with 3 points, we have to put 100% in.

KKH was in the squad for the Oxford game, it’s hardly ages.

It was his first time back in ages right? We shouldn't be resting mve to give KKH a start right now
You would have to think he'd be very rusty right now, with that lack of game time and mins on the pitch.

I'd be a lot more comfortable if he'd been getting the odd 15-20 mins here and there, but he hasn't.

I think his last appearance was on 1st Jan and he played about 60 mins, so I would worry a bit about his sharpness

Not giving him minutes has meant putting MVE through the grinder with no real back up.

We’ll have to rest players but now we’ve got quality back up for when we do
We don't have to rest players yet. The big difference now is we don't have to play our best players for 90 minutes every game like we've had to most of this season.

I’m not saying we should start him over MVE, but it’s simply not true that KKH has been out for ages - he was in the Norwich and Oxford squads (so 2 out of the last 4).
