Not really they have two winnable games to play, West Brom after a decent start look the worst of the two and poor at the back, they have three tough games left, if there’s to be one winner I’d pick West Brom puts Sunderland only on a maximum 68 points.

This is the difference one experienced team and one naive.

No way a pen, assistant gave it. Don't often say this but feel sorry for Sunderland.

Goodman said 'no contact'. That wasn't remotely true, he's implying that Swift dived.

That loan kid Gerdardt would be a handful up front with Vic.

How does it work. Seems we ar neck n neck.

Goal difference ..same
Goals scored..same as it stands
Then does it go on amount of wins or results between 2 teams

Results between teams then amount of wins, baggies on 18, us 17. Both games 1-0 to the home side

Not sure I'd call Watford tough, especially now they're out of contention.

Win Saturday and our lowest finish is 8th based on goal difference

Feel goal difference could be massive.

A good win vs Birmingham (asking way too much) and then a draw vs boring should be enough.

That's fine , I just can't see blackburn getting 4 points from their 3 games , and I think millwall and Blackburn play last day

If Sunderland lose this, Blackburn lose to Burnley and lose to Luton on Saturday, Preson lose or draw away at Sheffield United and Millwall lose away at Blackpool then we’d be confirmed in the play-offs with a win vs Birmingham. Quite a lot needed but not that unlikely overall.

EDIT: In fact, we’d be as good as in if Blackburn lose one of Burnley/Luton and draw the other as well, they’d have to overcome a big goal difference swing.

Far easier if your opposition has nothing to play for. Would rather play that type of game than against a team fighting against relegation.

Birmingham have nothing to play for next week. Is that going to be easy?

They play Luton at home who will be 100% resting players by that time !! Fully expect they pick up 3 points that evening
