Millwall v Ipswich. Boro v Millwall. Ipswich v Boro.

It's a tough ask for Millwall still, but they're making a great go at it. I only say "tough ask" because A) They're the only side in the top 4 (and Hull for that matter) who DON'T have one of their remaining games against Sheff Wed and B) they have both of us and Ipswich to play, which you could say for any of us, but in Millwall's case BOTH these crucial games are away from home and in succession (either side of the international break) If they're still kicking about after those 2 games then you have to give it to them and say they're carrying it to the wire.
Those games are as huge in the battle for the autos as our clash against Ipswich now, IMHO.
Ipswich have the disadvantage of having 4 Homes and 7 Aways in their remaining fixtures, compared to Millwall having 5 of each and us having 6 Home, 5 away (or 6H4A after tomorrow)
However, today was landmark in my mind in the case of two sides being ruled out of the battle, short of a completely bonkers set of results for all. You're out of "battling" for automatic promotion just about due to the fact that it would take a brilliant run from us (akin to ours best of the season) to overtake you AND your form dropping to that of a decent average side (say Watford) at the same time. And we're the best placed side to do so? For Ipswich or Millwall to do so would be even more unlikely, for 2 of the 3 sides to do so with the 3 games between us still to come would be absolutely ludicrously unheard of. Even on our forum today, it was telling that whilst there were threads concerning Hull v Millwall and one keeping our fingers crossed for Leicester, your game didn't get it's own thread. It's true that your game was still paid attention to and got a few mentions (the biggest unbridge was taken that Riis of Bristol City plays like a complete spanner most of the time, until her turns into an expert marksman against us!

) but I think most know that your games now have not much impact on whether we get promoted or not. EVEN in the unlikely event we somehow caught you from this stage, it wouldn't matter, because by that kind of run we'd had Ipswich and Millwall would have barely a prayer of overtaking us.
The other side practically ruled out of the battle of course being Hull, who ironically actually performed the best of any game I've seen them in recently today! But in true championship fashion, Millwall instead turned to the smash and grab technique that Hull have became masters of and employed on steroids this season and Hull were just "Out-Hulled."
