Wembley again Ole Ole (9 Viewers)

It’s the first season I can remember since the L1 title season where there are no teams in the division I’d expect us to lose against.

The squad is thin and we are already having bad luck on the injury front, but our first XI is genuinely good enough and we have the resources to make a real push in January if we can stay in contention that long.

Really depends on getting lucky with injuries and getting a decent signing or two in Jan.

I agree.

If our best players can avoid serious injury - perhaps missing just a few games at most - then I think we are in with a decent chance of automatic promotion.

That said, I have a feeling it’s going to be close. I don't think it will be like last year when Leeds and Burnley ran away with it.

Not this year please .. does anybody think we can go up automatically ?

Im starting to think so

Id hate to have a season like Sheffield united last year and fail .

Ita still early in a very long season.
Every year people say, 'this is the best chance, the leagues not as strong as last', I think this year that's actually true as the parachute clubs don't seem as good as previous years.

But we still need a lot to go our way, as others gave said, how we fayre with injuries will be a big factor..

Let's just enjoy the season, not right to start expecting automatics we need to keep a good feel and just see where we end up. If it's Wembley then we're due a win and some luck there anyway, never a day to be sniffed at!

I think we are in the top 3 sides in the division, but the only predictable thing about this league is it's unpredictability. We will probably have a drop at some point and a few injuries, we need to keep our heads if that happens because I back everyone in the building to do there bit. January could be important

The league is there to be won. If we get lucky with injuries I genuinely think we win it at a canter.

2nd favs with the bookies and I'm not convinced with Ipswich with what I've seen so far.
I think sadly that Ipswich will be just fine - loads of new players taking time to bed in but they will win most of their home games without too much trouble.

There’s no reason why we can’t finish top 2 if we spend a bit in January.
The reason why is other sides will charge and we'll inevitably need about 90 points. That is a massive ask and would be an incredible achievement, we are capable though!

Important to remember we were a 5th placed team last season even after a poor start and one of the division’s best strikers out for half the season. Not a stretch to think that if we can avoid both of those things this time then we can be in the conversation for automatics.

Ips will be right up there as well - some of the talent they have. Philogene and Clarke amongst best players in the division. Apart from that though…will all be dependent on how teams spend in Jan. Middlesbrough set up well, they’ll compete.

A lot depends on how strong the teams challenging for the autos are.
You mentioned the poor start, we lost 7 games under Robins, if we'd won 5 of those games the extra 15 points would have only lifted us one place.
Though personally I don't see the auto chasing teams being as strong as last season.

It's far too early to make judgement but it's looking good but how aren't we in first spot?
We didn't put Hull &Oxford to bed! We had enough chances to win both at a canter

That's what I'm saying really, Hull was a bit conservative for me, Oxford I think was the the squad and management were affected by the news on Sheaf that broke during the match, and the Norwich debacle on their part basically.

Injuries could scupper us.

Wright is so important and without him, we just aren't anywhere near as potent a force.

Grimes would be a big miss too.

Think grimes for sure is one we can't get by without

Despite Eccles filling in well yesterday I wouldn't wanna lose rudoni for too long either

Wright be a massive loss but on paper we have a good back up in Simms but for grimes and rudoni we don't really.

Bta fills in well for emc or saka

We need a few bodies in January but hopefully we won't feel in desperate need for them when the time comes
