I've been having a go at a few myself and sent them to Gruff as I have an awful voice and no recording facility, but I'm probably peeing him off with sending them now so I'll post any others that I try on here.

No unconstructive critique required (unless you're also doing your own in which case I'm sure you'll respect what he does) :)

In fairness, this might be a nice place to put them on here if anyone else wants to have a go. I've so far sent Gruff my takes on Vogue (Rogue), Don't look back in Anger (Don't look back at Waghorn) and Beautiful South's Song for Whoever. Tried my best to keep it as close and in line with the original lyrics, so for any Beatles fans, here's my stab at Elanor Rigby:

Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army
Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army
Enobakhare
Picks up the ball on half way as if he's Gary Breen
(But he's no Robbie Keane)
He drops a shoulder
Dummies defenders with swagger and we know he'll score
Like when we won five-four
All the Sky Blue Army
Where do they all come from?
All the Sky Blue Army
They know that they belong
Kyle McFadzean
Ripping the shirt of the striker as he chews off their ear
He has no fear
Look at him working
Scars on his legs from tackles of forwards who dare
They cry it's unfair
All the Sky Blue Army
Where do they all come from?
All the Sky Blue Army
They know that they belong
Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army
Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army
Viktor Gyokores
Scored the first of the season and we hope he'll score every game
Remember his name
Replacing Marosi
Moore stretched out his hands, as he dived at the feet, he's so brave
Oh what a save
All the Sky Blue Army (Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army)
Where do they all come from?
All the Sky Blue Army (Ah, look at all the Sky Blue Army)
They know that they belong

I won't spoil Vogue as I think Gruff's recording that one, but may as well share the others here too. Here's Don't look back at Waghorn:

Slip inside the left hand touchline
Don't you know you might find
There is room to play
You said that you're Gary Breen
But all the things that I've seen
You're more Julian Gray
So I start a new formation from my bed
Cause 4-4-2 as a concept is dead
Step outside, Jodi's found room
Callum's tripped up over his lace
Gyokores sudden burst of pace
Hillsner's never gonna get the f*@! out
And so Kelly can wait
Sheaf's challenge was late
As Tyler Walker went by
Kasta slides away
But don't look back at Waghorn
That boy can play
Take me back to Highfield Road
Where everyone knows
City still should play
But please don't let the ball hit your hands
Like when McFadzean got banned
And gave a pen away
So I start a new formation from my bed
Cause 4-4-2 as a concept is dead
Step outside, Jodi's found room
Callum's tripped up over his lace
Gyokores sudden burst of pace
Hillsner's never gonna get the f*@! out
And so Kelly can wait
Sheaf's challenge was late
As Tyler Walker went by
Kasta slides away
But don't look back at Waghorn
That boy can play
And so Kelly can wait
Sheaf's challenge was late
As Tyler Walker went by
Kasta slides away
But don't look back at Waghorn
That boy can play
And so Kelly can wait
Sheaf's challenge was late
As Tyler Walker went by
Kasta slides away
But don't look back at Waghorn
Don't look back at Waghorn
That boy can play
At least he can today

Song for whoever:

I despise you from block 15 of the CBS
Can't stand you in the songs, I write and sing
Hate you because, you don't have any skill or pace
There's nothing to the party, that you bring
Cheap, you are cheap
Although you play as though you're asleep
Wish you'd gone, why must we keep
'Cause you will take us down, down, down
Oh Declan, oh Jobello, oh DaCosta, Martin Lane
I wrote so many songs about you
Wish I could forget your name
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
Wish I forgot your name
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
Wish I forgot your name
I despise you from block 15 of the CBS
I hate the way I ask myself why oh why?
I hate to write about each game that you play
And I despise you until my fountain pen runs dry
Deep so deep, the very bottom of the heap
How much longer must we keep, you make me cry, cry, cry, cry
Oh Tavares, Oh Shipley, Oh Jobello, Oh Rus
At least you didn't cost any money, I wrote this song for you
I wrote this song for you
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
I wrote this song for you
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
Oh Tavares, Oh Shipley, Oh Jobello, Oh Rus
At least you didn't cost any money, I wrote this song for you
I wrote this song for you
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
I wrote this song for you
Hillsner, Mason, Allen, Ngandu, Pask and Ben Wilson too
For you, for you
I wrote this song for you
I wrote this song for you
