There are positives at the moment of course, the young players coming through, the ten point deficit being wiped out, good young manager with attractive style of play...

But whats the point of all of the above when things are so bad off the field. It wont last and is not sustainable. Pressley will go, players will be sold and if we miraculously did get promoted, we would more than likely come straight back down when the FFP comes in next season. I dont want to say all of that but can it be argued otherwise.

I take your point that no one wants another anti-sisu thread and that is not my intention. I am trying to respond honestly to the OP who is saying "be positive, this is what could happen to us" well quite frankly, until we have a board with any shred of ambition this is not going to happen to us. Can people not see this?

The thing is you expect Pressley to go and players to be sold just like people expected players to be sold in the summer but never were, if it happens, it happens, but frankly if the positives we have are the only positives we have then we should talk them up as is with most of this forum it's all doom and gloom, repetitive over Sisu/ACL, let's talk about the players and the manager, the great support we get away from home, etc.

Whether it is likely or not is irrelevant with anything you enjoy it while you have it and if as expected it doesn't last then so be it, but if you you always look to what could or might happen then you'll never really enjoy anything at all.

Maybe that was slightly harsh but it's not what I meant. I liked the post because in these times where we are playing at Sixfields and that our club is engulfed in negatives vibes and situations, to be able to talk positively about the players, the manager, how well we are playing, what we can aim for this season is something that should be enjoyed not ridiculed because of the negatives.

But most people can't contribute because don't you have to witness the game?

Of course not, some people don't attend Sixfields game for instance, but they listen to it on the Radio or view the Live Feed from Kieron on the official site, you're supporting the club and taking an interest, to say that you can't comment on the positives because you don't seem them all the time isn't relevant at all.

Only I can’t enjoy it can I, my team play's in Northampton.

I feel this thread is akin to finding the positives of a venereal disease... "at least you were getting plenty of action" "least if your cock falls off its one less thing you'll have to wash in the morning"

Positives for me would be making steps that actually matter to the long term future of the club. Securing the Ricoh or actually building a stadium, building bridges with the fans, implementing a top to bottom approach at the club maybe in the way of a director of football. Not my teams playing well at the moment, too bad I don’t get to see them.

Some have witnessed it by going to Sickfields, some by going to away games, and I would say the vast majority on here listen to and watch whatever we can when aired on TV and Radio.
We all would like to be back at the Rioch hopefully witnessing SP's Sky Blues going from strength to strength, but at present that option is not open to us, that doesn't mean we cant appreciate what is being achieved.

But most people can't contribute because don't you have to witness the game?

Can I just clarify:

Can't - Unable to get Sixfields due to financial impact, etc?
Won't - Because it's in Northampton.

This thread shows that success can come being in similar positions on the field of play, yes we all know that our Club's owners aren't as generous as Southampton's but with the positive of a good attacking side, that is joint top goal scorers in the division and has a good manager at the helm it should be talked about or would you rather we stuck to Sisu-ACL threads?

All the positives you are hoping for are what we all hope for, but do you think it's really what people used to enjoy 40 years ago for instance? My point is its a sport and the action on the pitch should take precident not the off field antics, enjoy it while it's there.

Fuckin ACL to blame for that as well, or was it the Robins family the fans or the trust?.....

Backed managers ? The lack of support at the right time resulted in relegation to divison 3, one slinging his hook and the latest unable to sign player because we are still in an embargo situation...again
