So waggotts message is that we are spending money on the Sixfield pitch as it looks like we will be playing there. Is it as he says or is it just a bit more pressure on the matter of bringing is home?

So we are paying the rent and also the upkeep of the ground. We have sold less than 500 ST's. Or you could say that we are spending more money on the Northampton pitch than we are on transfer fees. What a joke.

It's pathetic. Really gets me down stuff like this. Want to spend on a pitch that isn't even ours than buy some quality.

He then has the absolute cheek to say they will only come back if it's to the benefit of the club.

The man or the company are crazy.

Prior to that they did pay for the upkeep of the Ricoh pitch. Another SBK fact!

Didn't they stop that when they went on rent strike, if they didn't actually stop funding totally they certainly slashed the budget to a miniscule level so it wasn't looking too good towards the end of the 2012-13 season.

You would have thought that nearly 10k a game rental of another football clubs stadium would have included the groundsmans job of keeping the pitch up to standard of playing football on. And this is before any games are even played on it. So this seasons rent is for three stands and a substandard pitch yet SISU want the Ricoh for about the same as it will be about the average rent that they keep going on about.

It just proves yet again how much of a joke their normal statements are.

By that rationale £1.3m should pay for the price to be relaid twice a season. It didn't. Nor did it pay for a groundsman.

That said, would have thought NTFC would pay for the upkeep primarily as landlord

Sometimes when you read articles like this you have to wonder if they are deliberately taking the piss. How can he say we're paying for the pitch with a straight face after banging on about how the cost of renting Sixfields was all inclusive.

Nick I really think you chose the wrong thread to keep open, this one has confusing bickering and doesn't even link to the article we were discussing.
