Feels a bit of a damp squib this. Thought there would be more umph this evening, but evidently not

Same here after today's performance it's going to take me a couple of days to get over that.

Onwards and upwards.

Boro are a little defeatist they are still well placed for 2nd.

Take points from Ipswich and they potentially put themselves back in contention for autos. Ipswich still have to play Southampton and on top of all that they play 3 games in six days towards the end of the season.

Boro need to pull their heads out their arse, stop sulking and get on with the job.

Would be good to see, but I think they’ve fucked it now.

I’ve been reading a lot of posts about damp squibs. Come on FFS! It’s been an amazing season. We’ve done it.

What Lampard and the team have done over the season is nothing short of incredible. A non parachute club getting up with four games to spare and with 84 goals scored already. When it’s mattered most and the pressure was on after dropping to second we win 8, draw 2 and lose 1 to seal promotion. Unbelievable really

Let’s hope we can round things off with the title

Ipswich play Southampton a couple of days after they have just finished chasing Man City around Wembley - in the last week of the season.
Southampton will be comfortably in the playoffs.
Only one team will need to win that one.

It’s a slightly weird feeling. Reading how effectively we’ve done it but the tables on Sky Sports and the BBC website don’t have that P yet. I want that certainty before I finally let loose on the celebrations!

Unless you believe that we might lose all 4 remaining games by 5 goals, and Milwall might win all 4 remaining games by 5 goals, that P will arrive in due course. :)

Guess we are all processing things in our own way Saddle.
Forget the ‘mathematical’ caveat. We are back in the Premier League and I agree, I expected more euphoria. But I find myself reflective and emotional. Most of us on the forum are old enough to remember many years in the top flight and being back after a quarter of a century is fantastic but a little overwhelming.

It’s been a journey and what a team and fan base to share it with. Raise a glass, a mug or whatever works for you - cheers guys. PUSB

Its because its been coming for many months and has been expected.

There's absolutely no way its going to carry the same euphoria as, say, beating Wolves in injury time to get to Wembley.

Its more a sense of relief that its done.

I do think Ipswich may well beat us to the title (and to be honest i couldn't give a toss, the job is done now)
