We love making hard work of eveything, this was a walk in the park after Wembley tickets, buy a ticket, find somewhere on the route to see them, then go to the memorial park, can guarantee you won’t be turned away with a ticket after 3,
Can guarantee you will

How does every other city manage to hold huge events then? The Leicester title winning parade fetched 250k+, going through the city centre, with a festival in a park after. No bother.

stop excusing piss poor organisation

Where was I excusing it, I said I didn't think it was justified, but it's what drove the decision because the police insisted on it. Take it up with WM police.

I assume you were among the 250k

Take 50k away from the parade and our bus parade is going to be the laughing stock of the EFL and premier league, just watch.
It's already been given a pretty weird route.

The whole route will be rammed even without the 50K. It surprises me that people don't seem to appreciate how many will turn out for this. Numbers will be huge.

Was going to go for the Memorial Park, but have now decided against it.

The key part of the day for me is seeing the bus and the players and manager parading around Coventry and showing off the trophy.

So, am just going to do that and will try and catch them on the route and either follow them, or take a short cut to Hearsall Common.

Then will try and catch some of the Earsldon Festival.

The appeal for the Memorial Park for me, has greatly lessened.

Just seeing the players and FL and the bus parading around the streets of Coventry will be the perfect day for me 😎

Should maybe put some decent bands on then to get people in early apart from The Enemy who everyone's seen a million times and probably some no mark tribute act from Wyken
Take That tribute without Mark, f**k that

It's deliberately planned this way, the events overlap to prevent a huge wave of people watching the end of the parade and then attempting to enter the park at the same time. It's on safety grounds. Not sure I think it is justified, but not as though they made a mistake when planning it. A lot of it is down the police, their presence will be huge I'm told. The WhatsApp group I'm in has around 20 ST holders and all are going and I've received countless requests from people asking if I can get them a ticket. This sells within an hour of going on general sale.
I'm not surprised it'll sell in an hour if The Police are playing, huge.

You're probably already aware Otis but the players will all be heading to the park after the parade, it's not like people who go to the park won't see them and the trophy.

Complication for us as two STHs, is will the people we want to go to the park with get tickets on Wednesday? If not we may all do the parade and Hearsall Common and then go for drinks and food. Craven Street could be busy!

Every uk day festival does a 5pm last entry but if you rock up at 6pm it’s fine

They have to say it for crowd control purposes - they obviously don’t want half the city in Hearsall Common then descending on Memorial Park

Exactly, some think you won’t get in at 10 past 3

Ticket buying is straightforward using the normal way to buy away or special match tickets - initially found it very cumbersome following the link off the webpage - done and dusted in a few clicks and assignes to all linked STH's in the usual way.

As others have said, at this stage the organisation feels a bit rushed and ill thought through re access and timings etc.

Bit of a pain that can only get tickets for daughter/myself and will have to wait until Wednesday to pick one up for the wife. Hope they havent sold out by the time I can login....😉🤣

Tickets sorted.

If you plan it you can do both the parade and the festival. Appreciate the logistics are far from ideal all round, but I want to do both so I’ll make it work.

Only issue I have is I wanted to bring my kids, but they aren’t account holders yet. Not sure if I need to sign them up to be / they have to have any history etc i.e. what restrictions exist for general sale.

Just make them accounts in readiness

There will be Massive crowds, I think they could be celebrating for at least two hours at Hearsall Common.

It would’ve been better to have the parade finish at the top part of the Memorial Park (after going through town) so the crowds can stay and celebrate and listen and the exclusive 50,000 haven’t got far to travel to the other part of the park.
