To be fair to Bidwell he doesn't look totally fit yet .
I thought he was excellent tonight. Really good period of play where he had their player running at him from our poor corner. Held him up then pounced on a poor touch with a brilliant tackle

Completely bottled and let their player run through and score though..... Him, Lati or Sheaf should have dealt with it.
Lati has to take charge
That's on Sheaf far more than Thomas. The same Sheaf who shot over the bar (again) and headed over an open goal
How? Sheaf is behind the player, Lati and Thomas are both facing him

Collins 6

MVE 6 He must be absolutely exhausted
Thomas 6 Would have been a MOTM contender had he not bottled it for their goal
Latibeaudiere 6
Bidwell 7 MOTM Not much to offer going forward but great defensively

Sheaf 5 A shadow of his former self
Eccles 6
Rudoni 5 Miles off it in terms of quality

Sakamoto 6
Bassette 6 Faded badly; pretty evident he has no right foot
EMC 5 Completely anonymous; if the confidence isn’t there after two goals in a row, when is it coming?

Torp 5 Switched off defensively yet again before Grant’s goal
BTA 5 Looks a very poor signing
Simms 5 One point for every touch (he came on in the 76th minute)

I thought Torp was better than any of the midfield that started. Only player who seems to be able to play one touch and played some nice passes

Torps a weird one .
We are told on here his stamina and fitness aren't great yet he always impresses in his cameo appearances
Why not start him instead of throwing him on in losing situations?

Maybe the thinking is that if everyone else starts the game at 100% then he'll struggle because his fitness isn't there. Bringing him on as a sub evens it up a bit and gives him more time on the ball.

Rudoni looked shattered after 60 minutes yet stayed on the full game. It’s so odd with torp

Maybe but he surely has to start our next two games ?
I agree. Home against teams that are struggling we need to be more positive. 1 6 and 2 8's rather than 2 6's and 1 8.

Rudoni and Torp as the 8's and one of Sheaf or Eccles in the other.

The run of games now is hugely important. Mess them up and we’re properly in the shit.

Yes he does but he wasn't "really " poor he was quiet yet still should have had an assist .
Last season for Posh he had a free role ,almost like Wright has for us but he doesn't seem to know where the coaching staff want him to play and I'm including MR in that too
He does show the odd good moment but far more moments that make him look way out of his depth, his failure to anticipate the drop of the ball again and again for example.

He would excel in a team that wasn’t generally struggling. Harrison Burrows who didn’t look much better last season has benefitted massively just from that

Bassette on his own is a non starter and Torp needs to start as a 10. Lati at LCB has to stop, Dovin needs to come back in goal.

Really need Haji fit as without him I do not see where the goals come from.
EMC has played 10 for Posh . He could be an option as someone who will run and challenge a defence . Both Rudoni and Torp are more passing 8/10s

Why can’t he run and challenge a defence from the wing

I get that but his one moment of magic he pulled the ball down with a great first touch , beat his man and put in a ball that should've been put away . He just needs to do that more consistently

He has been in recent games
My point is both Torp and Rudoni are very similar , we miss a central player who will turn and run at a defence from deeper
He hasn’t been good enough simple as

I remember many people dismissing the terrible end of season form as having no influence on this one. Well, that bad momentum has carried itself forward as expected.
It does make you wonder what is happening behind the scenes doesn't it ?
Even now with FL there hasn't been a noticeable bounce

Because they’re a fragile group at the best of times. Best way I can put it is that there’s no character in there who galvanises the rest.
