after a nightmare journey back, time to reflect. disappointed robins didn’t start with a stronger team. Baka needs to be dropped and put in the u23’s. Terrible performance from him. Eccles tried hard but not good enough. keeper looked dodgy at times. positives. Villa lad looked clever, Dabo good. Fans amazing the last 20 mins. T&S was hair rising stuff. proud of the SBA tonight and I hate m1 and a5 closures

Not too bad. Still have a zillion tablets a day and recently went to a "late effects clinic", which are for those who are two years post Bone Marrow Transplant. They just go on about how much more susceptible I now am to secondary cancers, which is apparently an issue with transplant patients, so I am currently having lots of scans; heart, lungs, heart, etc. Tomorrow I have to go to Heartlands for a spleen scan. I'm not the kind of guy to worry about stuff until I have to worry about stuff, if you know what I mean. Day to day fine, back at work full-time now. Just get really tired, which is another post-transplant symptom. Yesterday really took it out of me, we left Warwick at 4pm and got back from Watford at 12.30am, so I will probably be in bed about 8 tonight. Fatigue is a big issue for me. Still, looking forward to the U23 game today though.

Thanks for asking. Hope all OK with you too.

Thoughts on last night:

* I think their class shone through in all honesty. Thought we played well but they were decisive at key moments and that's the difference.

* Despite losing 3 nil, I actually thought our defense was the best unit of the team. Full backs were both superb.

* The only thing that frustrated me about the back 4 is how much they try to play out from the back. Keeping possession is great and they played the ball neatly and out of trouble well on a number of occasions but there were times when Dabo could've been played the ball out wide only for either Rose or Hyam to cut inside again.

* On a similar point, we never seem to play the flanks much, especially last night. No effort to get in behind the full backs or play the ball into that space.

* Which brings me onto the front 3. Thought Baka was very poor, Kastaneer poor and Hiwula only ok.

* Thought O'Hare was only ok as well. Didnt see anything outstanding from him...maybe my expectations are too high for him.

* Kelly...another great shift. Seriously think hes our most important player this season...maybe along with Godden and Marosi. Is everywhere, broke up play well, rallied the team etc. Like him a lot.

* Watford fans were piss poor. SBA were immense as well...Twist and Shout for 15 minutes was brilliant. Saw many Watford fans applauding and smiling. Looking at social media this morning, we've definitely made a great impression on them with many saying how brilliant we are.

* Liked the stadium...4 distinct stands, enclosed...probably what I'd want in a new stadium.

* Watford car parks are pretty disorganised.

Right, off to London for a meeting. Laters.

Any videos of our fans singing Twist and Shout from one of the Watford stands?

There was slight confusion as I lied a little and said I was the guy who looked like George Clooney. Luckily, SBWM thought I meant I was the guy who looked LEAST like George Clooney.

If Baka and Hiwula were off colour would have been difficult for O Hare to make an impact - felt for him a bit as they also were poor in the second half when he came in against Gillingham - my hope is that for Saturday things come together better

I can't work out if we were naive or brave last night. Most lower league clubs would have set up with two lines of four and would have sat deep. We didn't, and tried to play, and I quite like that we did that. We got found out because we came up against better players ultimately, but we have a way of playing and we didn't try to change that which I think is to be admired.

Absolutely class support. Don't think its fair to criticise the Watford fans as some are. They were playing a league cup tie against a team two divisions below them, they we're hardly going to be bouncing at the prospect. They've shown some real class with the comments about our fans though. Lovely ground, feels so much more enclosed than it used to be before the improvements.

whose writing him off? said weren’t good enough last night. which he wasn’t. Watford were there to be beaten last night. if we played our best team we would have got something. first 10 mins Watford were awful, giving balls away, we could and should have capitalised instead we allowed Watford in the game sitting back too much

Post match Winch mentioned to Robins how we had tried to play football and he said something along the lines of that's how we play, it's the only way we will play.
Possibly naïve but if he's trying to develop an identity as a team and a club known for playing attractive football then fair play for him for sticking to that philosophy.

I thought Watford fans were decent. Fair few of them behind their goal making an effort.

Being called "Premier League fans" isn't a compliment anymore and singing for 20 minutes doesn't mean shit.

Give me a 0-1 in front of a minibus full any day of the week.

I just want a bit of success ok

Agreed. What does "Premier League fans" even mean??
Are they trying to say supporting a team that happens to be in the top flight makes you a Superfan and more worthy than fans of EFL teams?

Best wishes Torch! And (as I type), I'm feeling pretty good ATM, apart from my bloody knees! Kills me to walk even 10 yards these days! Ah well. That's all down to age and arthritis.

Give over. They’re just complimenting our fans, stop looking for things to get offended about.

Would’ve been a shit tie, Swansea at home. No worries. Meanwhile they fixed their mandatory 1 derby per round with Pompey vs Southampton .

Actually Coventry City only exists in the minds of those who feed Sisu.

CCFC died at 4pm on Friday 14 December 2007. R.I.P. N.O.P.M.

Only to be expected:
Watford 3 Sisu City of Birmingham 0

On another note, did anybody else spot the Watford players to our left and up watching the game? A couple of their kids were dancing about to Twist and Shout for ages.

In a sense he’s absolutely right as the club is dead to him but what did he think was going to happen and how is he a supporter and therefore have an opinion
