Well, using the logic that whatever had gone on before, only one organisation moved the football club to Northampton.

Whatever had gone on before, there were only certain organisations that sold a Coventry stadium to a London Rugby team...

Firstly they have not been a London team for 12 years, secondly the Ricoh has not been sold to Rugby team it just happens the owners own a Rugby team.
Lets hope these people take pity on us and take on a Football club as they obviously know how to market a product.

It was SISU's fault the stadium was available for a knock down price, the council still made the wrong decision in allowing Wasps to purchase the Ricoh.

Yes we have been bent over and royally fucked without invitatation or lubrication by all of those you mention. Its the council I despise the most though... Professing to love the club and having the interests of Coventrians (me) at heart. Thanks for nothing you bastards.

After the football club didn't do the deal.
Then demanded something that was not on offer (freehold) whilst devaluing the company they were trying to buy FFS. Whilst all a long were saying they were weeks away from buying the land for sight stadium.

No one else wanted to buy the white elephant so the council did well to even find as buyer.

After all the hassle they got from there last lodgers don't blame them for selling it.

I would do the same, and yes I wouldn't sell it to the wankers that gave me all the grief.

Yes, let hope they buy us, change our name to coventry wasps fc so that it ties in nicely with the "we are wasps" bollox, even a change of strip so it matches the seats when they eventually change them.. You never know, like the being forced out of our changing room it might just spark an upturn in our fortunes...

I'm sure this will be ok with everyone as long as they use their amazing marketing to sell the idea

We have no idea what they will do, but if we can get a decent team on the pitch and good support we are to much of a value to upset us, plus we would then be sellable.

How would we be anymore sellable than we are now? We'll still have huge debts and liabilities and only have Ryton as our only asset.

Justifying moving teams again? So you are saying that wasps don't own it but it is just that their owners do? Like SISU would own a ground not CCFC? Isn't that bad? So if Wasps don't own it, who do?

I can't see what would make us more sellable at the minute?

intheknow will be here soon to explain no doubt.

Good for Wasps. Sounds like they have a good plan and get on with it.

Why does it matter who plays at the Ricoh? We will have our own purpose built ground soon, far more suitable

Lets conveniently forget the previous 135 years history before that to suit an arguement, and of course Wycombe is so far from London, just like Coventry.

If you use that logic perhaps after not being a Coventry team for a year we should have stayed in Northampton or moved to somewhere else?

No but, but but, thats different. That isn't OK, SISU bad, Fix football, FL to blame, only selfish people went to sixfields. What was that? Top class rugby, I'm there.

I can't see how anyone who supports CCFC and CRFC could be anything but furious about this.

The wasps fans may have accepted it, and taken the owners comments of "if we stayed in Wycombe we could be out of business in bla bla months" at face value, but I certainly don't.

Yes, they do. If it's not working in it's current location then move it to somewhere it might. Weird that you agree with their philosophy.

Les Reid met with SISU and apparently came out supporting them
Nikki Sinclaire met with them and apparently the same

Nobody finds it strange that the leader of the trust meets with Wasps and is doing a fair bit of justifying all over the CCFC forum?

I was accused by Shmmeee when I was asking the same of "championing the destruction of the Trust".

And on Twitter the Trust (by the way of one of their leading lights) was bleating "yeah but they needed a home". FFS what has happened to the Trust?

It is because if you just say something bad about SISU then people will agree with you forever. All Wasps need to do is say "ah but sisu are wankers" and they get a cheer and everybody agrees with everything they have to say, which funnily enough is what intheknow is also trying to do on here

Which is why Nikki Sinclaire was a hero at the march, but as soon as her thoughts changed a bit it was public enemy number 1.

It isn't trying to destroy the trust at all.

Still cannot get my head around it all to be honest, everytime i will drive past the ground and see a big friggin wasp on the side i will feel sick to my stomach. I still cannot believe people are supporting this bullshit just because it gets one on SISU. SISU and CCFC are one in the same, they suffer, we all suffer but people seem to thrive in their misery.

Its worse than that really. What wasps have done is "pick up the Ricoh on the cheap" something so against the ethos of many.

Without sisu and there strategy wasps would not be here. If the club was still funding the councils little hobby by paying the grossly inflated rent then they would no doubt still be in Wycombe.

Sisu pretty much killed off ACL and wasps came along and feasted on the dying carcass.

I can only conclude that the trust would embrace a similar strategy by sisu. Namely find a stadium on its arse some 100 miles away and move there.

Sisu plan fitted in with their ethos.
They had got the rent down from the originally agreed rent but should have got a deal with Higgs for their 50% when they had the chance.

They took it too far with their play for the freehold unencumbered.

But it was moving the club to Northampton and then continuing to talk about further moving the club that left some people with an easy decision to make.......................SISU are to blame for our recent demise, no-one else. The other parties just reacted to being threatened in court and the propaganda put around by the hedge fund !

Who talked of moving the club further than Northampton?

Surely as we were playing outside of Coventry it would have been ok to move it even further away, that is how some of the anti-sixfields people seem to be justifying the Wasps move?

Don't think I've ever hoped so much that other people are right i.e. that wasps will be good for ccfc, sisu will leave cos of wasps, cfrc won't be harmed. Can I cross my own fingers and hope I'm wrong both in opposing the wasps deal on principle and because I don't see how it is good for us?

agree with three quarters of that. Well said. Don't think though, that you can come to the conclusion that the Trust would embrace a similar strategy. That is really pure guess work and not even based on statements or indications that the trust would ever support a 100 miles away stadium.
