I wonder if all of those praising Wasp's PR would be doing the same if CCFC had done the same when the club was in Northampton?

Ah we gloss over that. "different sport", "always been nomadic", "needed a home" and a million other excuses. Shame they weren't so supportive of their own club.

They moved 90 miles from a temporary home, by all accounts it was that or the club would die.

Slightly different from SISU who moved the club 35 in a failed/stupid attempt to weaken ACL and pickup the Ricoh on the cheap/for nowt

It's a Wasps thread, I think you'll find it's a place to put opinions and discuss anything about Wasps, I suggest you don't read it if you don't like it.

Clearly by reading this thread you are interested in Wasps, so why don't you take your lad to their first game, he might enjoy it and he'll see a top class sports team in action in a packed arena.

If you want to massage the egos of Eastwood, Wasps and your fellow Wasps buddies then I'm sure there are more appropriate channels. Mutual masterbation perhaps? I'll leave it up to you.

This is really good this site is full of people who didn't really support Fix Football who now want to Fix Rugby brilliant. The way its going there will only be one proffessional sports club in Coventry, but for me at least the alternative will be to go to watch the semi pros(for the time being) at the Butts.

In all seriousness BHSB there must be a danger that the bottom two leagues end up going Semi pro or being entirely based around Academy Grads .

If teams are fast approaching the point where up to £!K salaries become the norm I'd be looking to supplement that .

I think you're right. Not all teams in the Conference are full-time and I can easily see that happening in L2.

Yeah and some of the people shouting Fix Football because our club was moved are coming on here defending other clubs being moved to justify it. I suggest you have a look closer to home. We have a local news paper demanding our club comes back, driving vans about but now promoting other teams that have been moved and having digs at our club while they do it.

I've looked around my home cant find anything,oh wait couple of programmes from last season Cov games and three from this season, and which football clubs have been moved here? I've got no interest in the rugby club thats been moved here and am supporting my citys named rugby club when I'm not going to watch CCFC. I'll leave the indignation and protesting to your goodselves because you've got more interest in them than I have.

How long would you say you would be staying somewhere, after having a permanent home for years, before it stopped being temporary and became home?.

Sorry but I'm pretty sure there were plenty of efforts that CCFC made to help people get over having to move to Northampton but the campaign against it was unbeatable - anything they had done more would have been treated with contempt. Fans groups like the Sky Blue Trust were asked to support engagement with fans to encourage attendance, help set up and promote travel options etc but fair play to them they refused and stuck to their principles. Fisher held public meetings and explained time and time again why we had to move and was clearly told it would be the disaster it was.

The bottom line is people didn't support the move out of The Ricoh because it was poorly marketed, but because they thought it was wrong.

For me, if Mr Fisher had have put half the effort that he did into removing the club from Coventry into making sure it stayed we would have stayed. When he put zero effort into making us stay at the Ricoh it was clear to me that the club just didn't figure in the reasoning no matter what he said.

If it's true that Fisher agreed to staying with a rent of £400k, only to be overruled, presumably by Seppala, then he would have played it well.

True. That's fine. However, I don't want to read any more shit from Italia saying how well organised and great Wasps are. I also don't give a fuck if they win or lose. I'm perfectly happy for Italia, Spion, MMM, Noggin, Martcov and the rest to cream over Wasps as long as I don't have to read about it.

Do you know, your shite might possess just a slither of context if I'd ever said anything positive about the Wasps thing. Time and time again I've stated I don't condone it and won't be going.

Your misrepresentation of people is pretty amusing; given how you squealed like a girl, when you selfishly refused to join the rest of the fans in staying away from the Northampton farce and anyone questioned your motives...

I don't think anyone is creaming over Wasps being the landlords. We are now the beggars. What is obvious though, is that they are far better at pr and getting on with things than our owners. The glaring difference seems to be causing you frustration and you are getting angry at me and others. I feel sorry for you and empathise with you, but my anger is not directed at a third party, it is mainly directed at the people who have led us into this pathetic situation - our owners.
