Amazing that a current director of a company that owed so much money, can basicly buy the same company in admin and start again.

Why? Seppala wasn’t a director and she purchased Otium Entertainment and Tim Fisher remained sole director?

Thinking about it if it was the CBS why wouldn't they just annouce it. Not like they've ever had any issue with pissing people in Cov off

The vague venue in the Midlands makes more sense if it was Worcester, you wouldn't want to announce Wasps playing there the day Worcester themselves get told they aren't allowed in the Championship next year

Frankly with these parasites nothing would come as a surprise

The wording is a bit odd. Would it be a ground share with us as we dont own the ground. Would just be a ground rental

Still think if it is to be the CBS those Wasps signs wouldn’t have been taken down, they might be ear-marked for this shared ground, one way the company owed that £96k can get a bit of money back.
West Brom are supposedly cash strapped would look okay next to a Throstle.

Yeah, the project was not met with any resistance at all. I agree with you, and have repeatedly stated my disgust that there were even fans of CCFC that went to go and watch them. Some of which post on here.

The Worcester thing wouldn't surprise me. Not let them come back, but allow Wasps, and then Wasps take their ground. That's exactly the kind of thing they are capable of. Come back here though? Entirely possible, and should that happen, then there needs to be war. This time needs to be different. I for one will be getting more proactive and involved, and would encourage others to do the same.

The bit about CCFC fans going to watch them was the bit that annoyed me the most. Those were the same fans who stopped going to Cov games because SISU took us out of the city. Yet they would go watch a team that has moved from 100 miles away. It was hypocrisy of the highest order.

Having read into it can't see Worcester being an option as it looks like vultures are hovering for the land the ground is on. If its a football ground then the likes of Burton & Walsall that we had been considering as alternatives could be possible, but I have a feeling the place they would like to use would be the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

Wasps quit Coventry for... Solihull

Damson Park, the home of Solihull Moors Football Club, is close to being announced as Wasps’ new ground

Solihull Moors apparently.

From a CCFC front please be true. But we need the wasps int he Champ as long as possible.

As id give it 3 years max before going pop again if they cant get in the prem

Good news if Solihull, probably about the size they need.

Not sure it's artificial is it? Will be hammered with Birmingham Women's Team also playing there.

I agree. If they were to get to prem then they could maybe look at coming back to CBS.

If the groundshare goes well, which given previous evidence seems unlikely, they could look to put stands around the Moors pitch to bring it up to Prem rugby standard though.

I would guess thats the plan. Show string rent at soilhul and go for boom and bust.

If boom try and end back up the CBS. But would still be too big for them. So would be a pointless move

Any Rugby folk know what the chances are of Wasps winning the Championship next season?

Obviously a big club but they’ve no players and would be mental to throw money at it - Hopefully they stay in the Championship for years

They didn't pay a lot of Birmingham and Solihull based companies either. Now playing at a ground that's even worse than the Ricoh in terms of local amenity.

They didn’t ban it, there just wasn’t any club in the league last season who met the requirement/standard to be in the Prem

If Damson is a long-term plan for the pests you’d imagine promotion is a non starter unless Solihull improve their facilities

"Telegraph Sport has been told the Rugby Football Union has agreed to waive a regulation that would have forced Wasps to remain in Coventry for three years given they do not own or control their own ground."

Not like someone to change the rules for wasps.

It's the same as the EFL, they can't really force them. It means landlords can name a price.

"Wasps will quit Coventry and plan to move to Solihull after being parachuted into next season’s Championship.

Telegraph Sport can reveal the former European champions’ new owners have chosen to relocate after holding initial talks with Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group, which bought the Coventry Building Society Arena when the club were plunged into administration.

Damson Park, the home of Solihull Moors Football Club, is close to being announced as Wasps’ new ground as they bid to make an immediate return to the Premiership after being thrown out over their financial collapse.

With a capacity of 5,500, it is almost six times smaller than the CBS Arena but would arguably be better suited to the club’s current circumstances.

Telegraph Sport has been told the Rugby Football Union has agreed to waive a regulation that would have forced Wasps to remain in Coventry for three years given they do not own or control their own ground.

Wasps, founded and based in London for most of their 156-year history, made the controversial move to the Midlands eight years ago, raising £35 million through a bond scheme to buy a 250-year lease on the CBS Arena.

Talks with Frasers Group were said not to have progressed to how much the club would be charged for staying put."

Sounds like a very quick chat with Ashley then !

Thanks fuck for that, feel a bit sorry for the Solihull fans though. Do the club own the ground or is this just some landlord seeing £ signs?

Considering how they treated us, and Wycombe fans said similar, can only imagine how they will treat a non-league football club

Wonder if the rumours of the Alex were true, start at Solihull then move there if they ever manage to get promoted. Would piss myself laughing if the closed off league they were pushing for happened before they get up

Any local clubs of a similar level that they will be annoying now?
