So either way CCFC aren’t the difference.
Doesn’t look like it, but I don’t know how much CBS will be paying for stadium naming rights which was no doubt linked to CCFC return. That with the football related income might have edged it towards break even I suppose.

Guessing he’s talking about the Warwick Uni ground plan? And if there’s no one in the bowl?

No he’s talking about the CBS. I surprised I haven’t seen this earlier, probably because I tend to ignore the telegraph’s click bait.

The talkSPORT pundit explained: “It’s a very difficult nut to crack because you have a stadium that may need to be moved or a stadium that may need to be redeveloped.

“So it’s a hard yard situation because you can take advantage of reconfiguring the stadium because of the decline of Wasps [RFC] and all that’s going on there, or you can take advantage of the fact that the council might want it back to redevelop to move it across and build another stadium.

Wonder what the business rates would be in a place like that.
We got around £400k back for some element of overpaying around the time the admin happened, there was also a Gov't superate of £1M if it surpassed a certain profit level.

He must have misunderstood something. Why would the council want to build another stadium and knock the one they’ve got down? Very weird.

If he’s spoken to Sisu, then surely there are 2 options they’ve got. Build a new stadium as threatened many times, or the cost to “re-furbish” the Arena If they managed to get it.

Think there should have been a comma or a full stop. Either take advantage of getting the stadium and refurbishing or "you can take advantage of the fact that the council might want it back to redevelop to move it across, and <then you have to> build another stadium."

I think that’s what put SJ off…. He doesn’t want to get paint on his suit…

Right, I just haven't got time to read 370 pages of what's going on (think is going on) , so can anyone give me the qicck reader's digest version of the players and what stage they are at with negotiation s . Please 🙂

Mike Ashley has got an impressive chopper, and if he doesn’t get the Arena he’s going to put it in a liquidiser.

Ashley is preferred bidder and has exclusivity while he does due dil. Tomorrow there’s a court case but others understand that better than me.
NEC also bid but lost to Ashley
Sisu are saying nothing but rumours to be interested if it went to admin (which it didn’t cos Ashley bid)
John Dawkins claims to be interested but apparently didn’t bid until after exclusivity so now no one will talk to him
Michael Byng has submitted his offer to The Tomes.

Also, Council involved in some kind of the behind the scenes chicanery, which in fairness you probably left out because it's a redundancy. 😄

Or, stick the old one on wheels, drag it over to Warwick Uni, quick paint job, change the number plates, and we're quids in.

It's the Coventry way.

I don’t think so, it’s an increase in footfall and better PR for the arena complex cos we’re in the Prem, but I don’t see how it would change the fundamentals of booking space and developing the land which seems to be where the money is. I’d imagine the casino/Anecdote is pretty full on match days with the current 20k, not sure adding another 10k would make a huge difference.

This is why I’m yet to be convinced that Ashley must want CCFC when he could just take the arena and make money off it.

I am not an arena management specialist though so could be wrong.

Owning both and being in the Prem 190m minimum through TV deal per year. Extra 10k match day may bring an extra 300k per game. The TV rights is the big deal. So surely that is where the money is.
